Nothing happens, no messages or errors, as if the file did not exist and yet has content.
Maybe the ruby version has something to do with it, I use 2.0.0p247, version 1.9x (x86) also the same problem: |

I've 2 dumb questions.

1. Is it possible to have an offline  and online version of this script? I'd like to have a normal game and at the same time an "online multiplayer" version in the same game. This isn't my script so I'm sort of sitting on my hands, but I want to make a title screen that sends the player to two separate maps.

2. How does the damage work when it comes to the RMXOS? I'd like to know how to do script calls that damages someone when I want them to be damaged, but since it's a "multiplayer" script I've no idea how to work it. I'm thinking that in this case -everyone- is the hero and all I have to do is make a script call that checks to see if the "hero" is standing near it and then make a script/ event call that damages the "hero" and it'll work.

1. It's not built into the system. Possible with a lot of edits, but I know you don't script.

2. Pretty sure things regarding to player stats is handled all on client-side. You don't need to do any fancy script calls; the Change HP event command works fine as is.

1. I can do basic scripting like  making title screens and menus.

2. I want to make an enemy with complex patterns and I am not sure if using change HP will effect everyone on the map.
Edit: Ah, I get it.

1. Just run a local server on your PC, separate from the online server.

2. Stuff is being synced. It's called EXCHANGE_VARIABLES or something like that. By default it doesn't sync actor data, but if you use Blizz-ABS and the plugin, it will actually sync these things as well.

That sound's similar to Unity's built in Multiplayer. Instances are run with a primary player/ party leader being the "host" and other's connecting to his pc. I get what you're saying... local host as the "single player" game and my pc as the multiplayer. However, that wont fix the simple things like having the single player and multiplayer on different maps and load/ save games in single player.

That aside, is instancing possible in the OS? Without instancing challenging dungeons will all be really difficult to make for small groups. It'd be chaos and partying would be pointless.
