I've noticed we've been advertising individual webcomics here. Well, let's not do that anymore! Any webcomics (and their discussion) can be used here. If a particular webcomic is garnering a lot of attention, it can be given its own topic.

To start with, I recommend Gunnerkrigg Court and Drowtales. Questionable Content is another good one.

I like it that you keep updating this topic. I know some of these comics, but I'm not reading them. Keep it up. I'm sure lots of people appreciate it. :)

Just added a lot more webcomics to this. I'm certain you've never heard of at least two of them.

Blizzard

And you're right. I'm not so much into webcomics, but I have a couple of friends who keep checking a wide array of comics, that's how I know most of them. There is another totally perverted one called oglaf. I bet you didn't know that one. xD

I did, actually. I just don't like Oglaf's style - both in art and in the way of "having almost no constant characters." I also figured that Oglaf, like Homestuck, is the kind of webcomic most people already know of and mentioning it to them is pointless as their opinion is already formed.

I could be wrong, though.

ALSO, I would like to add a -really- well done German comic done entirely out of photographs (a so-called "Photocomic" that's from what I can tell decently popular in Germany) called Union of Heroes, but due to the writer's life situation he put the thing on indefinite hold. Until I hear more about that, I'm not going to bother putting it here. The story barely gets started before he cuts it off, and he does so on a really really fucknoying cliffhanger.

EDIT: Feel I should mention that I like Roomie because of the character interaction. I don't much notice or care about the random boobies.

Blizzard

I have an automatic detection system of attractive women in my peripheral sight and that includes boobies. ._.; So I guess I'm kinda the opposite. Though, I like only high quality boobies.

I once made a bunch of South Park comics because they were so easy to draw. I think I was 16 or something. Too bad I don't have them anymore. They were all in German, though.

Added a new one - called Miamaska. It is apparently somewhat based on H.P Lovecraft's work, though I'm not sure. It's about a girl named Amity who gets lost in another world. Not even 100 strips yet, but it could be interesting.

EDIT: And now Darths and Droids. I may have been linked it here on this site. Or Imight have stumbled upon it as part of a wiki-walk. Either way, I did an archive binge a few months ago and just recalled it. It's an interesting little webcomic that's about 700 pages in and follows the events of the Star Wars movies - in the context of a tabletop gaming campaign. It's quite an interesting read. I'm sure people who actually have played RPGs for a while will get more of the "injokes" than I do.

Vell

Bumping this page to let everyone know I have added at least 2 more since my last update. One - the one I just put in - is about a young elf who just wants to find his father. Along the way, funnies and seriouses happen. Also, they meet a pixie. It's called Chasing the Sunset. Enjoy!

I also linked up Awkward Zombie, which is a girl nerd's sometimes biographical webcomic about damn near anything video game. A lot of it is focused on nintendo stuff, and the majority of the earlier comics are about Melee and Brawl. It's definitely a decent read, though very little of it shows a continuous storyline. It's more a "gag-a-day" thing.

Speaking of, I also have "Pokemon Hard Mode" also known as the origin of the Nuzlocke idea, in my personal area for webcomic links. Why not in the recommended? Because just about everyone has to have heard about it by now. So I doubt  you don't have an opinion on it already, and I just want to keep my place on where I am. Also, the site's not just about the comic, though it is a main attraction.

EDIT: And I need some more webcomic material because I am bored as HELL with my life right now, so if anyone knows any good webcomics I haven't already provided PLEASE DO SO.

Vell

Another 2 new ones! Today brings some fairly interesting and entertaining webcomics to the table.

First up you'll notice that Girls With Slingshots is one you haven't seen from me yet. While I actually first got caught up on it over a month ago, I had forgotten it until today. It's about a group of people, living a daily life in... some city. I don't recall. Anyway, it's an entertaining read.

If you're the sort who doesn't really mind cat-people, Lackadaisy Cats is a very true-to-the-source story set in the American 1920s - Except everyone is, as the name suggests, cats. It updates -slow- however and despite being up for three years has about 120 pages. Which is okay, since the one who does the comic really does their research. Just read the little captions at the bottoms of the pages.

I'll be back in a few more days, perhaps, with some more new comics. Assuming I can remember more from my repertoire of webcomics that I've forgotten about.

G_G

While you haven't had the appreciation you deserved for these findings, I just wanted to thank you. These are very good and entertaining, I've definitely passed the time with these. Thank you so much! Keep up the findings. ^3^

Just gonna update this seeing as I have been busy for a few days. Anywho, I recalled an old webcomic I used to read but forgot about. Problem was, I only had a fairly tenuous memory of anything about it. So in the course of searching for it (and I found it) I discovered a few new comics although I've only managed to read through one.

The one I searched for is called Darkbolt. The comic intentionally mimics a manga. Other than the requisite bubbly lessons and the occasional cheesy "FRIENDSHIP FOREVER" that occurs in anything anime or manga-inspired, the characters are fairly well written and the plot - from what I remember - follows an understandable development. I liked it. As a special bonus, this webcomic is actually completed full to completion, and was in development for over a decade. Obviously, the art improves (but keeps the same basic style) as time goes on. Expect people to shout the names of all of their attacks.

B.I.B.L.E (Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth) is a webcomic that has a lot of planning put into it - but takes forever to update. In nearly three years it's only got 150 pages. Even so, it's pretty good. It's also got its own mythology, so don't let the name throw you off (angels and demons abound however.)

EDIT: andmeant to post this in the original post - so tired - but thank you G_G!

I also come bearing a minor update.

1/0 is a fairly geeky webcomic drawn in a very simple style (everyone is more or less a stick figure, though the artist is capable of drawing more complex things as he shows fairly early on) and is an old (and completed) webcomic. It's fairly good - and the artist has another webcomic up now, which I will get around to locating again sometime later.

EDIT 2: So updated with two more comics. Both fantasy. Uh, really tired so I'll leave a note here without actually describing either of them.

Firefly cross is a story about "the balance between light and dark." Its art style is reminiscent somewhat of an anime style and the coloring / shading isn't the best. It also takes forever to update. Even so, it's an okay comic that can distract you for a while.

Red Moon Rising is a beautifully drawn and colored comic. It updates every monday, so again slow updates. It's fairly heavily fantasy. It's also short, despite being up for a few years.

Trying Human is a story about an abductee, her boyfriend, an alien and all the stuff going on with that. It's fairly interesting and its got good art.

Pawn is a comic that's NSFW mainly due to the fact that it has a naked demon chick with boobs out to wisconsin. I'm not sure of its update status, so I wouldn't be surprised if it never updates anymore. Would be sad, it was fairly entertaining.

Vell

So Erfworld is the story of a man who is heavily into tabletop role playing, sucked into a world. Due to his obsession with war and tactics, he is treated as a "perfect warlord." His adjustment into the world isn't the easiest. It has an interesting world and would make for an interesting game if turned into one, i think. Enjoy!

On the otherside, for the Pokemon Hard Mode / Nuzlocke fans who also happen to be Touhou fans, there's a Touhoumon Nuzlocke Comic up there. It's fairly good.

Vell

Hello folks, and welcome to another addition to this little archive. Astute checkers will have noticed the first one I added a few days ago.

Jefbot! A story about a man named Jefbot, who is not actually a robot. Starts off realistic but as time goes on that starts to change. He only updates twice a week (and for a brief stint, 3 times a week, but that was for the 5 year anniversary month I think) so it takes a while for things to get going. Still, it's fairly well written and the artist writer is an actor himself, so you may actually have seen him in a commercial or something. He draws shoulders after a while.

Nemu*Nemu is a comic about two little puppy dolls that two young schoolgirls (2nd-3rd grade) in Japan buy from a little store after helping the owner clean up a bit. I know what you're thinking "Talking toy, elementary school japanese girls..." but no, no magical girl stuff going on. It's very definitely "spice of life" which pretty much details what two close young female friends do when they obtain two pet toys that are alive. For some reason, you never see parents enter the picture. I don't get that. Also, for the first couple years they used a different format than the more recent few years, so you'll have a little annoyance with the right side twitter/facebook stuff covering the last panel a lot at the start. That goes away eventually.

Vell

We've been updated. I think 4 new webcomics since last week, check them out. I know a few of them are geek-minded.

Blizzard

I just read through Virtual Shackles yesterday. They have a bit more than 300 comics and they update twice a week. The "main story" revolves around two game developers so I got most of the insider jokes. But they are general enough for most people to understand them. Though the really hilarious stuff is when they drift away and do comics about games or other stuff (e.g. the one where Steve Jobs' ultimate objective for implementing 11-point multi-touch was to find the man with 6 fingers on his right hand, I lol'd). I definitely recommend it.

And here I am, updating again. Only one this time, folks. It's an alternate universe one set in "Templar, Arizona" which is also the name of the webcomic. Main character is Benjamin, kind of a shut-in. It's slowed down considerably, so don't believe the "MWF" thing. It hasn't seen an update for a few months, but I'm thinkin' maybe it's just things. Either way, what's up now is worth checkin' out.

EDIT: within 24 hours.... The newest update is called Love Me Nice. It's about toons. Cartoons. Except "toons" are also people who look like cartoon characters. They also have an instinct to follow the "rule of funny." Main characters are Mac, a Monkey who is essentially Love Me Nice's mickey mouse and Carolina, a... toon... who grew up not knowing she's a toon. Either way, it's got fairly decent characterisation and the art is very good. Recommended for people who don't mind cartoony stuff.

EDIT 2: Scenes from a Multiverse. An interesting full-color comic about what it's like ot live in a multiverse. Doesn't follow single characters or anything for more than a few times and generally is more of the gag-a-day variety, but you do return to plotlines at some times.
