A few changes around here
« on: February 26, 2013, 09:44:48 AM »
I know how much you've all be anticipating ARC and I, myself, wish that it was already done as well. I personally lack the time to work on the editor (currently I don't even have to time to work on the engine), Ryex is kinda busy, too, and gameus is currently out because of personal problems.

But ARC is not dead! In fact, ARC is stronger than ever! Some of you may have noticed the discussion between me and Ryex in the last few days and it's true: ARC will run Ruby 2.x.
We are already renaming a couple of things because F0 isn't a team member anymore. The most notable change would be the name of the engine we are putting together which will now be called ARC Reactor, a reference to the Arc Reactor from the 2008 movie reboot of Marvel's comic franchise Iron Man.

Obviously apart from that, there is not much else new since obviously nobody of us had the time to work on it.

I would like to invite Ryex to put together a more detailed to-do list for the editor. It's always helpful when you have a to-do list silently staring into your soul and judging you for procrastinating or having another actually valid reason not to work on it.

you clearly haven't looked at the TODO.txt file in the editor folder.

Now look at the list glazing into your soul, demanding to be diminished.

I looked at it.
it looked bad and was missing the map editor.
for some reason so I added to every 'li' (you would think that would take forever, but with Sublime Text and some REGEXP knowledge all I had to do was write 2 rexexp's and CTRL-C CTRL-V twice. took all of 30 seconds to wrap the inside of every 'li' pair, all 101 of them, with the font tags, tell me that's not awesome)

now it's mono-spaced and looks better

also I added a section on the map editor.
