ARC reaching new heights and new boundaries?
« on: October 17, 2013, 02:29:43 PM »
Since most programs do NOT want to become portable, by any chance will ARC make the leap that everyone else fails to do?

If so, then I am all for downloading and providing feedback (when it becomes portable).

We will make sure that installation doesn't have any dependencies which means that you can technically just take the installed version and copy it to another PC and it will work just fine.

Actually that brings up a good point. Are you guys creating your own .dlls, or using some open source files? Oh, also, are you guys gonna make it a usable app for Win8  :V: :V:
Next off, how to create a first person shooter using microsoft excel.

ARC Reactor is using an opensource library called April and Friends that was developed by Blizzard's employer Cateia Games which Blizz has actively helped them develop.
ARC Welder is being written in python using opensource libraries as well as a few costume bindings I've made to use April and Friends in python.

in the end when you get the software you'll get a folder with a couple of dll files and 2 exe files
I no longer keep up with posts in the forum very well. If you have a question or comment, about my work, or in general I welcome PM's. if you make a post in one of my threads and I don't reply with in a day or two feel free to PM me and point it out to me.

Hypothetically, If in 7 years after completion, ARC hits android (as in, you're able to use ARC itself to convert your completed game to android format, controls and playability --android smart phones and tablets) --then hell yeah, I'd PAY for this feature.
