[XP] RAMMHEART

RAMMHEART is a 2D top-down action-defense game in which you play as the last guardian left on an island devoured by the flames of violence.

Your task is to defend a mysterious coffin from on-going attacks by grotesque creatures of unknown origin.
To succeed, a stranger named Bellion supports you with what appear to be magical cards and various treasures depending on your combat performance.

Together, you try to endure as many days and weeks as possible in the hope that the initiator of the attacks reveals himself. What is inside the coffin you give your life for? And why is it important to defend it?



Fast-paced combat system
Strike, block, dropkick, dodge and regain stamina by risky actions: RAMMHEART's core is its simple to play but hard to master combat system. It engages you to think about your available options and forces you to take a gamble now and then when it comes to creating huge hit combos, which are necessary to survive.

Performance-based loot and reward system
Just participating doesn't count: if you want to get the most valuable treasures, you have to push the loot rate up as high as possible by creating long chains of attacks. Those rewards range from new gear, healing herbs, additional power and health to fortification plans and special cards that enhance your combat abilities. Skill means rewards.

Bellion Cards
Collect several cards that change the way you play: Boost Cards grant you power-ups that help you to get more comfortable with every battle; Spell Cards allow you to use special magic techniques that are otherwise unavailable; Ability Cards grant you unique and permanent skills that will help you even further.

Risky Sidequests
Every second day a random sidequest appears that grants you additional rewards. From carrying a box full of whine bottles to avoiding using certain moves such as blocking, sidequests are there for players who look for an additional challenge during their combat for survival.

Hungry monstrosities
You will have to fight against a lot of different enemies that will test your abilities. Learning their behaviour and reading their patterns is the key to success. don't let their ugly looks and numbers overwhelm you. Also, at the end of every week one of their leaders appear..

This is some pretty insane stuff man, considering you're a one-man team!

Game breaks traditional RM games, custom graphics and HUD elements, an unfamiliar battle system (kinda like a souped-up XAS), and flashy as hell.

It looks like I might have been a little premature moving this into the projects category. I thought I sasaw a download link for it on Steam.
I am done scripting for RMXP. I will likely not offer support for even my own scripts anymore, but feel free to ask on the forum, there are plenty of other talented scripters that can help you.

Heh, it's just on Steam Greenlight for now; will try to create an alpha build that can be played for free. Invested three years of my life into this while doing university stuff, so that's why it's on there.

Feel free to move it to where it fits. :)
