HI. i am a Swedish aspiring computer technician whom is very interested in creating fancy rpg's. however i am a complete noob and i would gladly accept some ultra-noob tips on the absolute basics of using rpg maker(what is a script, ect ect) and some advice on how to pick between MV, VX ACE and XP.

Welcome. Are you from Sweden or just Swedish in nationality?

From my experience, RMVX/Ace seems more friendly towards newer people while XP, though slightly older, is a bit harder to use but feature wise, I think XP is much better and especially better in mapping. I have not tried MV yet, but people are saying it is good. For me, I toy around with VXAce for more simpler types of games while my main projects are handled by XP.

There are plenty of tutorials around this boards I think, which can help, but many links to some demos are unfortunately dead. You can always just ask around here I guess.

Oh ha ha whoops. I clicked new posts and ended up seeing this but I guess I neglected the date  :facepalm:
