A Chaos-Project Community Game

This is the recruitment thread for the community project Codename "La Rpg".  Post here if you want to find out what it takes to get involved.  EVERYONE AT THIS SITE CAN CONTRIBUTE IN WHATEVER MANNER POSSIBLE, SO SIGN UP!  The first post will be kept up to date with production team members and their contributions.

Ok so we should organize ourselves into small groups for each section. I don't know a good size limit but I think each group should be large enough to give anyone who wants to try a chance. But not too large, smaller groups are more efficient. Pick your top three preferences (or what you're good at).

So I'll start us off, and everyone else can quote this in turn.

Skills: Eventing - 1st choice
        Mapping  - 2nd choice
        Database - 3rd choice

Those are my top three picks. This should help sort us out a little better. I hope.

Right, from what I understand, sometimes things fall through. But in the spirit of staying positive, I think this has a lot of potential. Wait, winkio are you going to be working on this? Amongst your many many skills, I can account first-hand for your ability to program the enemy AI.

Who says we are even using Blizz-ABS?

I will put a lot of work into organizing and keeping the firsts posts up to date, keeping morale up, pushing deadlines, compiling everyone's work together, putting demos out, etc.

In terms of development, yeah, I'll work on some parts ;)

Welcome aboard!  We are not going to ask you to do anything, it's entirely self-motivated, so once we work out the story and features, start checkin out the production thread for mapping/eventing tasks you might be interested in!

How exactly does mapping work with so many styles being brought to the table?

Do you have each mapper do a certain "area" of maps, to preserve continuity?

pretty much.  Each 'area' or place that uses the same tileset will be a task, each only one person can take any one mapping task.

That's how I thought it should work. Say you have a castle town (in theory), this means they do castle town IN as well?

I'm just trying to formulate boundaries in my head on a vague concept.
