"I've been trapped here in an endless desert for what feels like an eternity now. I've had no food, no water, no company, no sleep. By all means I should be dead by now, but somehow I haven't yet died. I don't know how I came to be here, or when I came to be here. I don't even know where exactly "here" is. I only know that every waking moment spent here is a torture you cannot possibly imagine...  But I will find an escape from this hell, I will survive. I have been fated to suffer here for eternity, but hopelessness is only for those who surrender to destiny, and I refuse to give in to my fate."

This game was an entry in Blizzard's ABS competition.  Created by myself and Zylos, we worked on the first version of this game for the allotted 15 days, and then, after winning the competition, decided to fix up the game and release it as a BlizzABS example game.  It took longer than expected due to some scripting issues, but it has been finished and now released.

Download the game HERE (http://www.sendspace.com/file/iy8ms6)

What is a BlizzABS Example Game?  It's a game made with BlizzABS, and released open-source to allow people to see how it was made.  See how the events were done, etc... to help people have a learning tool to get used to or see the system not only in action, but behind the scenes.  It is designed to help.

However, if anything unique from this game is used (eventing, or scripting, or graphics), you are to credit myself and Zylos and make known where you got the idea/resource.

there's a bug where the hud will flicker constantly at some point, but we're not sure what causes it, hopefully blizz can get his paws on it and figure it out.

A little challenge for everyone who plays this game: first person to take screenshot of all 14 achievements in the game and post it gets the highest bragging rights and our upmost respect. :3

at least 45 minutes on normal, if you just play the essentials, and don't try to hunt down any of the bonuses.

One problem... my f*cking PC can't run this without loads of lag! First CP, then this. In fact, I can't play almost any RMXP game out there without lag! :argh:
...i'm doomed

Mine lags a bit with this and chaos project but for most of rmxp games its alright, though it'd probably be better if I actually put that extra RAM that's been sitting in front of me for a week into my comp

its a great game, but there are some bugs and glitches that dont even matter at all... like in the room with the robot thing that gives you the card to go in the door, the -wall with papers on it, you can walk on it, and then theres stairs there but y ou can walk up/down the place anywere... like i said there pointless but i just t hought i should tell you,

but its an awsome game i will play it and beat it. and hopefully get all achements

yeah see, there's this thing called reading.

Considering you're talking about the scripts in the game, I'll suggest you try that out.

The scripts have comments, anything that isn't commented/credited in the script is something I made, hurr.  Everything else is kinda clear.  Like...oh I don't know "CCOA's UMS"

I'd better be ready to apply mouth to mouth CPR if need be. :V:

Seriously though, just look through the scripts. If there's no name, it's something Namkcor made himself. Otherwise you'll see where the credit goes just fine. Remember though that you can't just go in and swipe our scripts. It's for use for you to study and learn from, not a free resource package for you to pick apart at.

Yay!
Got all 14 Achievements in 54 minutes :P

The screenshot only shows 12 since... the menu only fits 12, but the 2 not shown should be obvious that I got them. XD

Well played!  :)

You're the second known person to successfully get all of the achievements. One person on RMRK beat you to the punch, but he took two hours to get all of them.

SP Charge is mine.
Cluster damage isn't even really cluster damage, it just hits twice, that's it.

and as Zylos said, it's a learning tool, not a free resource pack, read the section on blizzABS example games for more details on what you can and cannot do with the contents of the project.
