I need a very retro type of battle report, been wanting one.. but everyone seems to be more content with more modern battle reports like the ones in final fantasy 7 and upwards.

I want one more like the pre FF7 battle results, like 1 thru 6 had, and i think even Chrono Trigger had one like it.
I just want something.. simple.. yet.. will tell you in detail what was gained and what has changed without relying on bars that fill up and tally things.. it does not fit in with the game i am making.. and HAVE been making for years now, i always get stuck cause of lack of programing know how that many others have, i'm more of an artist and story teller, not a mathematical wiz!

Anyhow, if anyone knows where i can find something more classic or if someone can make one, i would be VERY obliged.

This would be more of an add on, and would basically in writing tell you everything one at a time, much like old school JRPGs would tell you, if you never played a classic JRPG, it's very simple.. a small box pops up like at the top of the screen, and will tell you first how much money you gained, then how much experience was gained, then it will either say someone leveled up and to what level, and then say what was learned if they learned anything, then it would say what items were found, and then close.. or.. they would only say how much money and XP was gained and end there if nothing else changed.

I can't seem to find anything like that is all..
This may be my last hope to ask here, my requests get ignored else where.

I looked for a youtube video to show how it worked back in those days, but i can't seem to find one showing off how those battle results worked..

If someone has one or can make one, or what ever.. please just send me a private message about it, i rather not just keep checking this thread, so far lots of people have looked, and not one person has said a thing, so i figure better to just get a PM, it will notify me through email.

Thanks to Cid for this link, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q_yrCPw3k6E#t=11m20s

But if old FF the result was in a simple message window at the top no?

I can't help with the request, but here's an example of what you're referring to.

Looks around for a link. Doesn't find one. Leaves.
I am done scripting for RMXP. I will likely not offer support for even my own scripts anymore, but feel free to ask on the forum, there are plenty of other talented scripters that can help you.

He did in fact provide a link, thank-you Cid.
The word "here's" is what you click on to see, and hes right, that's what i am talking about, classic FF 1 to 6 battle results.

I re-posted the link at the top in a more noticeable manner.

Everyone is.. as i said, more interested in other types of battle results so far sadly.

Not a bad idea a retro battle result, like 2k, for example. Im doing it.

Yay! Alright... wait.. you gonna share?
lol >_< i need it so bad for my game, i been making a Final Fantasy type of game since.. god... wow.. since RMXP first came out, since then another game just like it was started on over on another board, and it kinda ticks me off, i feel like i been left behind in the dust and everyone else is getting the ideas because i was too slow to get mine out there and going good and off the ground, simple because of my lack of scripting and no one interested in helping... though.. i did get some help from here a ways back with some transitions.

Was that aimed at me? I did provide a link.

  I read that at 4 in the morning and totally missed that...

Since people here have been the most helpful, i plan to have my game shown here when i have more done.
I'm using a battle engine made by someone named Atoa, it's his CBS, i should have mention that, it might help to make sure their are no incompatibilities... but most add on scripts i have used before seem to work, so this one may work as well.

-EDIT-
I don't think the guy who said he would help is going to help, so i hope maybe someone else might pick this idea up and make it a reality.

My bad >_< i had not heard anything... i can not tell you how many times i have had people say.."i will do this or that" and then nothing .. they drop it and move on to something else *laughs*
Well i have one little problem with it, right when it shows the last bit of information, the screen fades too soon.. after the last bit of information is shown, it should then close the box then fade out of the battle.
Also, i am using a custom battle system from Atoa from HB games, for some reason your script messes with the victory animations of the players.. is their anything in there that does things to battler graphics?

I guess i should have called this topic "I need a very Retro battle results/report script that is compatible with Atoa's customizable battle system" lol >_<

Well, i tried it with the newest one, and the current one i am using is 3, but i also tried it with his latest version, 3.2 and it has the same effect.. the battlers don't do their victory animations, they simply keep doing their standing animations.
I also noticed that the screen fades out long before it closes the window on the last information that is shown.
In the process of moving everything in my project over to 3.2, but i did check your script with 3.2 and it is doing the same thing with the victory poses, they just do their victory stances with your script.. i tried to get help from ATOA, but he had no interest in helping... unless i paid him.. i don't blame him for wanting paid, but i just don't have any money to pay anyone sadly.
