There are dentists that uses hypnotise instead of anaesthetic, He puts them into a trance like state and then yanks the teeth out, surprisingly it works.

Here is a story about a man who got hypnotised by a friend for a dental operation in the UK.
If you put a million monkeys at a million keyboards, one of them will eventually write a Java program.
The rest of them will write Perl programs.

Here's the thing, though:
I very much enjoyed the numbing effect of the anesthesia, and would not have done it any other way. Not even hypnosis which was claimed to have worked, which to be honest, the effect of said hypnosis varies from people to people, and I would never take such a risk as that.

It's cool someone did it, though.

Yep it is, I don't really believe it can work that well on everybody, I do know it can definitely be done but to be honest I don't put much faith in it anyway. Really I was just posting that to say that people do use alternatives and they do do it without any medical relief (painkillers, anaesthetic, etc).

Oh, I know you were. I just like to put in my two cents on a lot of things. :3

And also, tomorrow I am gonna try moving from ice cream, jello, soup, and pudding, to some mashed potatoes. :3
Although, I am still gonna eat all of those goodies. :D

Hey, I got a screw put in the ceiling of my mouth today. With only minimal general anesthetic. And they used a fucking drill.
I had noodles, and they kept getting stuck on the damn thing. No pudding or any special treatment.
:grump:

Very true. e.g. I am the kind of person that is highly resistant to hypnosis. I can't get properly hypnotized even if I wanted it. I'm not 100% resistant, but I have to want it for it in order to work that little bit that it can with me.
