Raising CP's Google Rank

I just noticed something very interesting. If you type "Chaos Project Blizz-ABS" this site appear on page 1 at the 3rd place. Now, I have noticed that the main source are not the posts, but the signatures...

Or more specifically, my signature.

Now, I believe that if a few of you put RMXP, RMVX and such into your signatures, our Google Rank will increase rapidly for those keywords. :3

Remember, this is not cheating, we actually are the most popular site for Blizz-ABS. That others appear above us has to do with the fact that they have a high Google Rank in general.

Sounds to me like blatant advertising would indeed work for this case. I'll edit my signature to add in a nice message to associate with RPG Maker XP. Keep on the methods Blizzard, I'll help in any way I can.

Signatures won't rapidly improve anything ;p

google ranking isn't easy. Don't expect to put RMVX and RMXP in every sig and get 1st page 1st rank, you'll get lucky to get first page.

My site places first for 'Blizz-ABS' because I worked on making it so. Its not as easy as talking about it. Without a solid homepage, ranking a forum is very hard. especially one as small as this. Without a homepage, RMR would be an UNKNOWN site, but luckly I dedicated HOURS to optimize it and it is no doubt one of the best ranked rpg maker sites out there. YET it isn't a popular one.

I'd say study SEO for a while and it will come out to help you

Doesn't Chaos Project technically have a home page? Although it's the lame CP on the Move, Blizzard can simply edit that to make it spiffy and awesome...then we'll actually have a meaning to enter the regular Chaos-project.com area. Of course, suggestion...Suggestion...

I didn't say our Google Rank would go up in a few days, of course it takes time. I only meant that it would be an improvement and that it would help for sure. Don't worry, I know how to improve my Google Rank by optimizing the site for search engines. ;) I just lacked the time so far to dedicate it for this.

I know, I know. I've finished my diploma thesis yesterday, but in the week from the 16th of this month I have final exams so I still can't start working on it. But don't worry, right after that I will dedicate hours and days to make a new skin for the forum and to make a homepage that will bring tears to your eyes. :) There's nothing more dangerous out there than a Blizzard with free time. :naughty: And yes, that means I will get the forum a solid smiley collection as well. xD

In a way, yes. However, Chaos-Project doesn't have a solid domain in a way, and its Google Rank is indeed low. Heck, Eminweb beats it. That's not a bad thing, I'm just saying. Once you have a homepage, I'm sure the Google Rank will escalate, slowly but surely. Keywords like RMXP are no issue at the moment, I'm assuming that.

Hey, I just noticed something. This really surprised me. Although the results may be swayed by a tiny bit because I logged on to my Google account, this is still a surprise to me.

Google Searching "Chaos-Project" would get http://chaos-project.com as the first result.

Google Searching "Chaos Project" would get http://chaos-project.com as the second result. http://chaosproject.co.nr is the fourth result.

Searching for "Chaos Project" doesn't yield the forum; it gets to the homepage. But the other pages at least are having higher Google Ranks. Nevertheless, it doesn't reach my first page of Starrodkirby86, but searching "Diokatsu" gets your profile...after Anime Pulse and Minitokyo...o_o
