I really appreciate it. And as Blizzard already knows how much I appreciate this community and what its done to my life, I'd like the actual community know. Without this place I would be basically nowhere. I'd still be at home playing video games without the slightest clue of programming. I've learned so much from this community and I've come so far from my programming skills. My first bit of programming was 3 years ago when I posted my first script. And it wasn't even that impressive. Since then my scripts were gradually getting better. Then I started expanding languages. Even as an RM based forum, this place is still an awesome learning ground for programmers doing any language. Take all programmers here and we have a decent knowledge base of any programming language. Only 3 years of programming practice and I'm just amazed at how far I've come.
And not only have you guys helped with my programming skills, you've helped me with my life problems. When ever life was putting me down, I became a complete jackass, and you guys put up with me, then you even helped me get through it. And don't worry, didn't just now make me realize this, I've always felt like this when I started becoming active in the scripting area. But something I should realize is that everyone new here isn't as smart as me and I should be careful with how I try and help them, as some of you know a recent argument between me and Apid broke out. I wasn't trying to insult him but he felt that way.
Besides the staff here helping me out, actual members from the community have been there when I was down, and I consider them close friends now. Tino (Subsonic) has been through rough times, and still is going through them, but he's always been there to be my testing dummy when he could. Cameron (Kett Shee/Cait Sith) is an awesome friend too and he's been really depressed about life lately but he's still there to talk to me if he can. And then theres Branden (Tuggernuts). Who seems like a better friend then my best friend from when I was little. He's always been there to talk to and is usually funny and annoying. But either way he can cheer you up with his gay jokes. Branden was actually the last person I ever thought to befriend. I added him to MSN and he always came on strong with his jokes and weirded me out all the time. As time progressed I got used to him and his personality and have always enjoyed his company.
I might be going overboard with this but I really do enjoy the community and its a nice escape from life. And I am thankful for the position and am thankful for everything Chaos Project has to offer.
