[RPG Maker XP] Need a Character Change Script

(If there are any typos in this, I blame my cats. They keep falling down onto my head. It's annoying.)

I looked around in several places (Including here) for a character change script. But I couldn't find one. Obviously. The party change thing sounds similar to what I want, but not exactly.  If you have ever played Ella's Hope or Dreamscape (Aldorlea games and Eridani games) you might know what I mean.

I would like to be able to press a button (In both games I mentioned, you pressed either F6 or A) and have a screen pop up where you can change who is leading the party around, or if you have more than 4 people in your party, which ones are shown in battle and walking around. 
I'm still rather new to this (I actually only started with RPG Maker XP 4 days ago... LOL).

Is there a script like what I described? I can provide screen-shots later if needed.

EDIT: Never mind. I figured it out.
Oh, wait- I have a script I want to use, but I don't know what button to press to use it! How would I go about finding out how to make it happen? LOL
