I will post mine up once I can go back home and check it (Thanksgiving).  I'll just be on a few times to prove that none of you know how to play the game.

AliveDrive

I eagerly await November.

Tug!

Post your code?

Connection timed out. And oh my gawd, the stories are true: the multiplayer IS laggy. D:

Or my WiFi just doesn't communicate well. ;-;

Hey, one day you and me should dick around with cheats in Multiplayer. :3

AliveDrive

Ok I just moved my router closer so now its on!

I can go one more match, I suppose. >:3

EDIT:
Hey, let's try this tomorrow when I am not uploading a HUGE video to YouTube. Was nice playing, though. :3

AliveDrive

Whenever I try to use my final smash the game overloads and dies.

Also, for future reference, I prefer playing on Final Destination.

That was fun though.

Good stages (also known as Tournament Neutral) are:

Final Destination
Battlefield
Smashville
Yoshi's Island

There's also counterpicks which are good as well, but I won't get into that yet.

Who won?  What characters were you guys playing?

@Blizz: Brawl is not entertaining to watch.  Example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KrPwCrsDjcU.  If it's under three minutes though, I think I can save a match as a replay and upload it.

I have my game set up so that when I hit start (random stage select) it picks one of those four.

I recommend others do the same.

I play as Lucas mainly.

Who won?

Lag.

We never finished a match :P

@winkio: I think that's a bad example. Meta on Meta? Who do you play as?

Nope, sorry. I don't own a Wii either. ._.

Lol Blizzard, I wish I didn't spend the money.

The only reason I bought a Wii was for Monster Hunter which sucked.

But Brawl justifies my keeping the Wii.

I find most fighting games entertaining to watch (Street Fighter, Mavel vs. Capcom, the first two Smash games), but hey, to each their own.  I play Mario and Metaknight most frequently, but I can play with the entire cast of characters well enough to beat people that are only slightly below my level.

Spaceman McConaughey

I mainly play as:

1. Wolf
2. Fox
3. Falco
4. Link
5. Toon Link
6. Zelda/Shiek
7. Ganondorf
7. Sonic
8. Samus

Also, the order of that holds no relevance to how great I am with someone. Just a general list of who I use. xD

SBR*

I'll post my brawl code soon. I haven't played it for ages, though, so I probably suck :).

I mainy play as:

-Pitt
-Toon Link
-Marth

And some random guys like Wario, Wolf, Sonic and Lucario for da lulz.

Actually, this order does hold a relevance to how great I am with someone.

Yeah, I played 3 matches to reboost my skillz. I haven't played for ages, and I don't suck as much as I expected. But I suck nevertheless :).

I'll play you in a second. Need to find a save spot on Metroid Prime 3.

EDIT:

My match, you join it now?

EDIT 2:
My game froze. ;-;

Also, I was hoping the characters I was using would... throw you off a bit? :>

SBR*

XD

Wow, that lag was absolutely awful. It caused me to play like a complete newb. Argh! XD

It was nice playing with you though.

Spaceman McConaughey

Was nice playing with you, as well. :)

Also, about the characters I used... did they look, you know... special? D:

Just curious if what I was doing worked.

SBR*

Special? I don't think so?

Wait, so you didn't see me playing as Zant, a Storm Trooper, Samus's Light Suit from Metroid Prime 2, and Samus's Fusion Suit from Metroid Fusion? ;-;

Dammit, that would've been cool if you were able to see them. :/

winkio

Hacks on wifi only apply to your own console.  If it's texture or music hacks, it's fine, but if it's gameplay modifications (gravity, attack speed, etc.), it will cause a desync with your opponent.

Well, they were all model hacks. And the only one that seemed to have messed things up was the Fusion Suit.

So, when you say it's fine, does that mean I can only see them, but the connection stays? And he wouldn't have been able to? D:

winkio

Well I don't have any personal experience with it myself, but what I have heard from forums, youtube, etc. is that for graphics/music, the changes appear on your console, not anyone else's, and the game still runs fine.  When there are gameplay hacks though, the gamestate is different on different consoles which causes an eventual desync.

Spaceman McConaughey

Ah, okay then. Thanks for the information.

Vell

I play:

Toon Link
Ike
Kirby
Zelda/Shiek(both)
Pokemon Trainer(almost exclusively NOT SQUIRTLE, however)
ZSSamus.

And some others I dink around with, mostly

Lucario, Pikachu, Diddy Kong, Wolf

Lolwut? Minus and Plus? The pokemon? Me is confused.

They are modded versions.  Brawl+ tries to be more like melee bringing back wavedashing, hitstun, etc., but of course it's a moot point because everyone that wants to play melee just plays melee.  Brawl- tries to bring balance by unbalancing everything and every character has ridiculous attacks, which makes the game goofy but fun.

KK20

Project: Melee is a bring back of SSBM. Brawl+ is just faster, more balanced gameplay (no wavedashing). And then there's Balanced Brawl which keeps the elements of Brawl but balances the characters more. Brawl- is still my favorite just because it's so unique.

If you haven't found it already, the website is called SmashMods. You'll need an SD card. Falcon got 20% cooler as a result.

Fixed.

KK20

There are two methods to install them: Homebrew or hack custom stages (which can be done with an unhacked Wii). The second method is the one I use. So...adding to your fix'd.  ;)

Okay then. But there's really no point at all. You might as well just go full-out and mod your Wii, if you're going to do that.
Because all you need is Smash Bros., an SD Card and a reliable guide(that is how I did my superior method).

Also, just out of curiosity... is your name Kevin?

KK20

If someone happens to be one of those kinds of people who A) doesn't want to hack their Wii or B) doesn't know how to, then the hacked custom stage is the best option. I'm one of those people who hardly touches the Wii (got like...7 games or something) and have no real purpose to hack it. Not to mention the whole system update thing (but I don't even know enough to talk about that in detail).

The name's Tyler actually. Kinda makes me think I should've posted an introduction.

A) It's their loss. Seriously.
B) Not knowing how isn't even a valid excuse if they have a good guide like I mentioned.

Systems updates are completely optional and can be disabled.

And okay, I thought you might have been someone I knew.

KK20

I'll just admit to say that I don't need to hack my Wii for any reason. It is also due to my ignorance at seeing why I would even want to (like I said, I don't touch my Wii on a normal basis so my interest level is extremely low).

This has also gone horribly off-topic too :P I just only wanted to mention that it is possible to play mods with or without a hacked Wii.

The hacked stage (smashstack) is just another way to launch the hackmii installer. There's literally no difference between modding your wii and hacking brawl via "custom stage". Your warenty is voided either way. So there's no reason not to go full on homebrewing and get awesome games like super mario war (even after a year, my friends STILL love that game at parties)

KK20

I've mentioned it before and I will mention it again: I don't play my Wii on a day-to-day business. I will play an occasional Brawl- computer match if I get bored, but other than that my Wii collects dust. (That will change once Kirby:RtD is released)

I don't care about how cool you guys think hacking your Wii is. I have no purpose to do so. There's nothing about it that interests me.

And yes, there are people out there who don't know how to hack their Wii, even with ample guides out there. I know people who are completely clueless in any and everything computer/internet/video game related. They exist.

Yes, thank you for pointing out that it is called Smashstack--I didn't remember at the time. But like I said, I only wanted to mention that you can play mods with or without a hacked Wii. That's all I've been trying to say and yet you keep on bashing how "time-wasting" it is. If you're an avid Wii-user, then yes, you are probably better off hacking your Wii.  :argh:

I'll look mine up and be online sometime Friday or Saturday.  I'm guessing I'm the only one that has played at any tournaments here, so I doubt many of you have played a large number of other skilled players.  It's easy to be the best in your group of friends, but playing at a competitive level is much different.  Hopefully we don't have too much lag and can play some good matches.

EDIT: 2062-8885-9676, updated first post as well.

EDIT2: and I just added everyone.

SBR*

Well, I played online once and it was lagging so terribly, I kind-a decided not to play online anymore. Does it always lag that much?

winkio

From what I've heard, with anyone is terrible, and with friends is usually a lot better, but I still don't know if it's good enough to play, especially since lots of us are from different regions of the world.

laggy as hell.

Super Smash Bros... Smash King?
Super Smash Bros... Wackout?
Super Smash Bros... of doom?
Super Smash Bros... Legends?
Super Smash Bros... PENIS!!

I wonder...

SBR*

Super Smash Bros 3D/Super Smash Bros U, just because Nintendo has had such original names the past time.
