Mechanical Engineers should learn how to code

After spending the past two weeks having to clean up a years worth of code written by two mechanical engineers, I have come to the following conclusion:

Mechanical Engineers should learn how to code.

They are going to have to use it no matter what section of industry or academia they go into.  They should learn how to do it well in college so they don't waste time on the easy stuff (compared to the systems of differential equations they normally deal with).

Aerospace engineering is basically the same thing as Mechanical, we just have a focus on things that fly, thus the same applies for them. I'm a lucky bastard because I already know how.
