I think it's fair. In western society, as a whole, women have been treated like shit for thousands of years. Men get a bit of a taste of it and they're all like WTF?! Yes, this double-standard is true, but it's blatantly forgetting millenia of oppression.

On the other hand, if a women likes it - chivalry. If they don't - SEXISM!!!

I personally am against positive discrimination. If you want to stop discrimination, then just stop it completely and don't give the previously oppressed group more rights because of past mistakes. But that's just my opinion, of course.

I don't think it's just western society, I think it's most observable in western society. Some other cultures have practiced a female-dominance for ages.
