Here's a little change from the "What are you listening to right now?" thread.
So, what songs really mean a lot to you? Like, what songs do you have sort of an emotional connection to? Just post in here whatever song that may be. And please, try to explain why the song means so much to you, and do not just post songs you happen to be listening to, as there's already a thread for that. :)

This Too Shall Pass, by OK Go
All is Not Lost, by OK Go
Wind Waker Staff Credits, by ZREO

Those three songs, mean a lot to me because they always put me in a good mood. I can be pissed, sad -- whatever, and they'll make me happy. They also sound amazing, by the way.
So, anybody else?

...
To be honest, I could probably tell my life story in songs that mean alot to me. So, I'm just gonna chose some. If there is no explanation, read the lyrics, and you'll get it.
Categories.

Songs that remind me of Iggy:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eAW1dNWhU8w Undisclosed Desires - Muse.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ve-dBOiZhMs ET - Katy Perry (I chose this version because the mood fits far better)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SW0ulJ5QCcw Aphex Twin / Bright Eyes Mashup - Jack Conte
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LkcZdhamaew nightingale - reign of kindo

I once made a list of all our songs, and it had about 60 of them, and each of them had something attached to it. We did have quite a story.

Songs that pull me out of depression:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=44RdSr7HTho Paris - Patrick Wolf
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=84i7zQ_ACnU Sigur Rós - Sæglópur (Something about this song just says "hope")
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K6u5D-5LWSg 3055 - Olafur Arnalds (Same as Saeglopur)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u7fa1gfGpLc New Years End - God is an astronaut (it starts out slighty melancholic and then pulls you out of it slowly)

There is much, much more. But I'm tired. Will maybe add to this.

Digital Love by Daft Punk Kelsey and I would listen to this song a lot. I guess it [ii]was[/i] our song. I have several more songs that mean a lot to me.
Crazy Frog's songs were my favorite as a kid. These mean a lot to me because I usually only listened to them when I was in a good mood. So they definitely bring good memories back.
Green Day was another band I listened to a lot when I was younger. I occasionally listen to them here and there.

Camellia

Never Grow Up - Taylor Swift
Astronaut - Simple Plan
Be As One - W-ind [Japanese song]

:'( I cry every time I listen to 'Never Grow Up'. I'm sure that a lot of people do too.
Those two English song lyrics are very straight forward. So, I don't think I need to explain much.
'Be As One' is just another one of those love songs, but this one is an exceptional 'cause it really fits my life.
QuoteDon't listen to those who say you're taking too big a chance.

Whenever I'm sad, I listen to music. I don't listen to happy music when I'm sad, because I feel like the music is almost taunting me(If that makes any sense).

Novocaine For The Soul - Eels
This song means a lot to me because it's like the musical "Novocaine" for me.

Last Stop: This Town - Eels
This song pretty much explains what I think about sometimes. When we die, what if we were given the chance to see what we left behind after we leave? Would it be different? Would it be the same? To me, I think the song is saying that overall the neighbourhood wouldn't be much different after we die, but there would be at least one person who wishes that we would take them with us if we're not going to come back.
You're all daft cunts. I love you. <3

And this thread never seems to have kicked off. Oh well. :/

The Niche

I don't have youtube access at the moment and I'm not bothered with other sites, so yeah. I'll update later:

Skillet - The Last Night: Super cheesy romantic song that sums up a lot of my relationship.

Loser - The First Time: Well, a) it's an epic song. B) it's about not being afraid and refusing to hide, things very close to my heart.

John 5 - July 31st (The Last Stand): Though the song has no lyrics, for me it's about defiance, refusal and courage.

Machine Head - Darkness Within: It's difficult to explain what this song means for me, but it appeals to me.

Machine Head - Be Still and Know: This song, it's about hope. How all the shit I have to put up with, it'll be over in just over a year.
Level me down, I'm trying to become the anti-blizz!

Ah, excellent.  You liked my amusing sideshow, yes?  I'm just a simple fool, my wit entertains the wise, and my wisdom fools the fools.

I'm like the bible, widely hated and beautifully quotable.

The Approaching Curve
Our cracking voices became part of the music.
The car pressed on faster through the night. As our voices lowered,
The cadence again overtook the air.
Up ahead there was a curve approaching.
She made no indications of slowing.

I teared up the first time I heard that :(

Ooh, I like that song :) I've only heard it once though. If it's not too personal, what's it mean to you, Ulta?

Back in high school I used to have a crush on this girl and getting over it took a long time. One day, I put November Rain on repeat for pretty much 20 hours. It smoothed the process -so- much.

Also it's a beautiful song and it reduces me to heights of emotion no other art form has ever made me go to.

El Manana - Gorillaz It pretty much describes my entire relationship with this girl I'm head over heels for.

You're Going Down - Sick Puppies Describes this past few months for me.

Rylynn - Andy McKee It helps me feel better. When I had my really bad breakdown about 7 months back, I sat in my bed and cried while listening to this.

Climax - Usher: Might Be a Little to recent and might be a little highschool-ish but this one song, although the topic doesn't reflect the situation, makes me feel this empty feeling in my gut and i can't help but think about this girl, who happens to be my best friend, who i happen to be secretly in love with -___-

Come with Me - Sammie: I'm a guys guy, i like explosions and stuff and to be shallow, every year i think about marriage its always 10+ more years away, i hate mushy, but this record right here makes me feel something, so i decided if i ever was to get married, it'd be my top "wedding song" choice god thats cheesy -___-
