What is this site for? I found it while looking around the web for a certain MMO type game. Is it some sort of game dev site?

Um, Lol yes. This is a community dedicated to the development of games, be you a indie development professional or simply a hobbyist. The reason you may of found us when looking for a MMO is because Blizzard (our founder and admin) wrote a script system for creating MMOs.
