So I just finished part 1 and have a huge smile on my face.  I can't really explain it, but that woman is the example of human ability.  I don't know if I can fully explain it, but I'm amazed that she consciously molded her reality into something so completely different, and that it is such a strong delusion.  It's the extreme case of a phenomenon I see every single day: people who decide to distort their reality instead of change their mind.

Looking forward to the next 6 parts.

EDIT:  TOO GOOD.  Just finished the last part.  I came up with an analogy for why I like this woman so much.  Imagine people are like paintings.  Really smart people, like Einstein, Feynman, etc., are like beautifully detailed paintings, their style and realism a reminder of the ability to understand and affect the world.  On the other hand, people like the woman in the interview are like an Escher painting, full of unique oddities and elaborate designs that divert, direct, and distort reality.  While they are both very different, they are both very interesting to look at and appreciate.

That being said, people with a distortionary mind cannot be allowed to influence the reality they distort.  This is a somewhat difficult statement, because like it or not, we all distort reality to some degree.  None of us is a perfect photograph.  However, society has a certain protocol that attempts to reduce distortion, but it is never completely successful.

I officially do not like that woman,she just..just.....I can't put into words at just how much I hate her.

may just be me but creationist are stupid,I watched one video on youtube. saying that dinosaurs did not become birds etc. etc.
do they not know that feathers are just modified scales and that the DNA/genes make the scales mutate in some way to make the feathers.(there are studies on baby chickens still in the egg that shows this happening.)
I mean come one evolution if you ask me is just genetic mutations that occur and make that species more adaptable to the conditions that it being is living in,and when that Being mates,the gene code passes on and eventually changes again that adjust to the environment.(that's how there are so many species in our world now,it happens based on the available food etc.)

I have realized that she thinks rather highly of her self in the video as well,in her mind she probably thinks she is god.

about 3:26 into the video she goes on saying something that where is the evidence that show evolution in the progress..........LOOK AT THE DAMN BONES WOMAN! for crying out loud early mammals and some of the same bones as dinosaurs,oh yeah and birds and reptiles today have some of the same bones that the dinosaurs had just down sized,open your eyes!

While I completely disagree with what the woman is stating, I don't hate her for it nor am I angry with her. It's what she perceives and it's what she believes in. We can all sit in our chairs and be angry and disagree, but that's not going to do anything. You just have to accept that people will disagree with you. This woman's way of thinking is actually, what winkio said, amusing. I absolutely love the way she thinks and how she's trying to contradict evolution. Sure I don't agree with her, but getting angry won't change anything.

What I'm pissed about, is the camera man who can't fucking decide who to look at. >:\

You're kidding... Her logic of thinking and how many times she said 'show me the evidence' is absolutely horrid. I wanted to pull my hair out for her not accepting the facts or the fact that almost all of her statements she contradicted herself. Her argument pretty much consisted of interrupting him about interrupting her about how she 'avoided the question' so she could still avoid the question.. That was just a minor part as well. She constantly talked down to him even though she had no real evidence of anything she was saying and he backed up everything he was saying with facts. She even went as far to say in the first part she didn't fully understand DNA then in part 2 she tried explaining to him what DNA was

She just reminds me of that know it all in class who would try to answer every question and be way off. I don't blame the guy for getting frustrated with her at all and honestly I think he deserves a medal for standing through over an hour on a 7 part interview with this lady. I would have left after maybe 15 minutes -_-

But would it really? If I remember right, we had a discussion about a similar topic, about how humanity may be "degenerating" its "collective genetic material" by allowing "weak" humans to live and reproduce and how humanity's own evolution may now be oriented towards technology, how humanity may control its own further evolution through technology instead of organics material and genetics.

I just wanted to throw that out there. It was a good discussion and maybe it should be revived.

While I agree with G_G that I don't hate her for her beliefs, I hate her for being a very difficult person to have a rational conversation with.
I also didn't like the fact that Dawkins started saying hidden agenda, and all that. It would've been more appropriate for him to bring that up later in the discussion.

And Dawkins fell right into the "soul" trick. While some of us understand what's going on, others might not. :/

One more thing I hate about her: she keeps saying "a philosophy risen out of Darwinian principles". What philosophy? Survival of the fittest? That's not meant as a philosophy. He simply stated a fact. What she fails to realize is that a society is the secret to protecting the weak, not a non-Darwinian society. And the framework of society coupled with technology allows humans to define their lives by a lot more than their biological traits. In fact, even many animals survive better because they form their own societies. I feel Dawkins should have made this point. He should've talked a little more about how behavioral evolution is also in play alongside biological evolution.
She also seems to take for granted that respect for other beings can only exist in a creationist philosophy. I hate it when religious (or so oriented) groups claim ownership to morality and ethics. They are just thieves, I tell you! :V

okay recently I have tried to watch the rest of these videos,and that woman...I just can't stand her,like you all have said it is definelty not her beliefs that bother me it is just the fact that she just plainly refuses to see what is all around her out in the world, that evolution does in fact take place and and human being show that fact as well, I mean look at the difference from a person from one part of the world compared to another,yes we may be alike genetically but let us say for example, Africans (no i am not racists) the reason that they are black was probably a evolution of the skin to coup with the sun always beating down harshly in that part of the world so that way they would not suffer sun burns that would kills them or make them unable to gather the essentials to live etc.(just my 2 cents on that)

I dunno if I can actually finish these videos, that woman just irritates me.

I tried going through again. I got half way though the 3ed part.

This is the part I find most infuriating about people like here. They treat facts like they do faith. that you can chose to believe or not believe a fact on faith. the trouble is they already HAVE a faith and end up lying to themselves to keep it.

and I guess this reveal a flaw in my personality. one of the only things I will look down on someone for is being too weak minded to challenge their beliefs and attempt to reconcile what they know with the facts presented to them. When your presented with a new fact you have four options 1) you change your beliefs to fit that fact, 2) you find a logically solid way to reconcile that fact with your beliefs, 3) you find a logically sound and evidence backed reason to dismiss that fact as false, or 4) you ignore the fact because it doesn't fit and you prefer to keep your beliefs. now options 1, 2, and 3 can all happen at once and are an ongoing process you can lean toward one or the other depending on other facts or interpretations ect. but option 4 is a ultimatum that stagnates cognitive growth, a decision contrary to all scientific principles.

it is this last option that I can't abide by, if you can't prove a fact (fact means it has solid proof and your proof's proof has proof) wrong you can't just ignore it and move on. it's a cowardly way to live your life. Those unwilling to challenge their beliefs and constantly seek a higher truth have no business telling me how to think. if they are unwilling to seek the truth with me then I view myself as superior to them.

Arg I'm explaining myself too much, YOU ANGER ME WOMAN!
