I have noticed that more and more people try to use the shoutbox as a substitute for the actual forum. Instead of making new topics and asking elaborate questions or questions that most probably require elaborate answers, people keep posting them in the shoutbox. Don't do that. :/ You're more likely to get more and better answers when you make a topic. If this trend continues, I will disable the shoutbox temporarily until people start using this forum as a forum again.

Good point.
Not only the people asking, but the people answering, which I am guilty of, are also responsible. If someone asks a question that requires an elaborate answer, it would be wiser to simply suggest a topic than answer it.
I am done scripting for RMXP. I will likely not offer support for even my own scripts anymore, but feel free to ask on the forum, there are plenty of other talented scripters that can help you.

Instead of answering their questions in the shoutbox, just say: "Make a topic about it."
Simple and effective :3

I don't mind simple questions that really have no need for a new topic, but I agree on things that are 'elaborate questions or questions that most probably require elaborate answers' needs a new topic.

I also might be guilty of this, not really sure :uhm:

I like Mark's idea. I'm guilty of answering elaborate questions as well. The most recent was the OGG/MP3 question. Kind of a simple question, but requires an elaborate answer "why".
