Hello,
I left Chaos Project quite a long time ago. Since then I started my computer build.
About 80% of everything in my computer is bought second hand. I must say that I saved A LOT of money with that. Most parts were in mint condition anyway. (God there are so many people that don't know what is compatible with their computers)
Here is my setup currently:
Case:Antec One Hundred (Modded a bit) (Bought for €35)
Mainboard:Asus P8B75-M LX (Bought for €40)
CPU:Intel i5 3470 (Bought for €110)
GPU:Radeon HD 5850 (Bought for €60)
RAM:8 GB Corsair Vengeance LP Kit (2x4GB) (Bought for €50)
PSU:Xilence Redwing 800W (Bought for €70)
HDD:2x Seagate ST3500820AS (Gift)
Fan Master:Super Flower SF-609 Fan Master (Planning on modding) (€15)
Monitors:3x Samsung SyncMaster 913v (Bought 3 for a total of €130)
Keyboard:(Seller gave me 2 for €20, I made €40 out of it, still keeping mine)
Mouse:Razer Lachesis V2 (Bought for €58)
Gameboard:Logitech G13 (Bought for €24)
Microphone:CheapAsFuk™ Microphone (Bought for €4 - Had €2 refunded for late delivery)
Audio:Dolby 5.1 Surround (Gift)
Extra's:Wacom Bamboo (Bought for €10)
CheapAsFuk™ Gamepad (Bought for €8 - had €3 refunded for slight damage)
Microsoft SideWinder Force Feedback Steering Wheel (Bought for €4)
CheapAsFuk™ Webcam (Bought for €2 - completely refunded after 2 months of shipping)
Total costs:
€573, Which doesn't seem bad considering I now have i5, a Radeon HD5850, 8GB RAM, 2 good HDD's, Eyefinity and epic extra's.
Total cost for just the computer:
€380, Total value is around
€532 (Lowest prices on pricewatch).
I did not include the fans, since these are all gifted by my proud dad
Tell me what you think about the specs (vs the money).
I will post some pictures later
