OK, really done now; this will play during the intro "movie": https://soundcloud.com/djrematch/intro-theme-for-rmxp-game

Updated: Here's the final draft: https://soundcloud.com/djrematch/rpg-intro-theme-final-draft

----------
Here's the second draft; the piece flows much better now: https://soundcloud.com/djrematch/intro-theme-second-draft

Not really sure what thread this goes in so I put it here.
Finished the demo of my game, just gotta compose the soundtrack and record the voice acting.

Here's the first draft (needs to be equalized/mixed, but the music is all there)

That intro theme is pretty beast brah. I would switch out the low baritone man that goes "aaahhhh" with a deep baseline instead...but that's just me. Nice work!  :haha:
You know you play video games to much when you put sunglasses on and whisper "Plus 10 Appearance"

If at first you don't succeed, call it version 1.0

I absolutely LOVE the part 0:41 to 0:45, it has such an epic and mysterious feel!

Updated this piece A LOT.

Remixed it, fixed a bunch of issues.  It's a much more complete Intro Theme now, and it lines up well with the intro cutscene.

I didn't think you could get better than that first song by much...but your second draft tops it pretty hard. I applaud. What program are you using if you don't mind sharing?

I've been too lazy to get all my music stuff set up for my new computer, so right now I'm just futzing around and making everything in Reason 5.0

If I search hard enough and find my DVDs of EWSQL Symphonic Orchestra Gold Edition, I'll be using that combined with Sonar. (those sounds are awesome).

Until then, crappy Reason sounds all the way!

For example, this Choir sound sucks, it's clipping on high notes, no matter how I equalize it I can hear distortion and it's ticking me off.

Ah hah! There we go!

Final draft of this piece is done.  Finally sounds like I intended it to.

Usually it takes 3 runs for me to finish a piece, 1 run to get the general ideas out, 2nd run to get the arrangement out, then 3rd run to smooth out the rough edges and perfect the mixing.

Sounds a heck of lot better than the first two.  Still using Reason though ;/

I will have to check those programs out. I use anvil studios simply because I like the old sound of crappy snes/nes midi's. Using anything better than a midi feels like the game is to far ahead of its time on the music and not far enough on the graphics. Like an in between of SNES and PS1. I create my own graphics anyway and using anything better than a midi would put my graphics to crap lol.

Very well put together piece. Professional-grade, really.
Good job.
