So basically I'm finally gonna do it and make a game to completion. Hahaha!

Sorry, I like to start with a joke.

But anyways, I am working on a project again and we'll see how far I take it. I need input at the moment.

No-7: ShowHide

Mode-7: ShowHide

We all know what the default RTP looks like. Great.

My question is: Should I use mode-7 (INSTEAD of custom resolution, which I learned to my dismay is not compatible)?

And if so, what settings have you had good results with? I'm currently at 25 degrees tilt and 15 degrees rotation. More/Less/None? Go!

The permanent solution for your problem would be to stop hanging out with stupid people.

I still strongly believe that Mode-7 best fits for only these situations:

  • Overworld map

  • Game is going for a Paper Mario-esque style

  • Not overdone
    Advance Wars Dual Strike: ShowHide

With that said, I prefer the first image more.

Mode-7? more like slightly angled picture lol. jk

But yeah i totally agree with KK20, and the second is  totally overdone :p no offense

Blizzard

There is no need usually for Mode-7. You might want to use it on a world map, though. So if you don't plan on doing something "special" with it, best you leave it out.
