"(a-b)(a+b)"

Now I one-up you:

6 + 5 = 1
68 + 25 = 3
10 + 1 = 1
888 + 10001 = 9
9 + 0 = 2

I don't know if there is an equation for this, but:
Spoiler: ShowHide
6-4 = 2
6+4 = 10
so you combine the answers 2 & 10 to get: 210
7-6 = 1
7+6 = 13
1 & 13 to get: 113

For KK20's
Spoiler: ShowHide
Last digit of the solution :P

Edit: Nvm the last one totally threw me off

omg you fell for it
I'm omitting another essential part to the puzzle, but it makes it too easy (despite some people claiming it took them 10 minutes with it anyways).

EDIT: Hints anyways. Professor Layton style.

Hint Coin #1: ShowHide

It is said that young children, perhaps even pre-schoolers, can solve this puzzle. This was the thing I removed from the original puzzle.
Hint Coin #2: ShowHide

Think like a child. Clearly, if 5-year-olds can do this, they do not possess much knowledge of math. Or spelling for that matter.
Hint Coin #3: ShowHide

Try something most children know how to do: count. Look at the last equation. Do you see anything that you can count that would equal 2?

KK20 Solution: ShowHide
Ah HA! It is the number of circles. 6 + 5 = 1 because 6 has 1 circle. 9 + 0 is 2 because there are 2 circles :D

The number of circles.

Though, I've already seen your puzzle once already.

It took me like 10 seconds the first time I saw it. :P Seriously though, that first hint was a dead giveaway. And yet it's funny to watch people completely ignore it anyways.

No, the first hint just puts pressure on. xD The last one is a giveaway. I can't remember how long it took me the first time. Might have been 5 or 10 minutes. Maybe even longer.
