L3X leaves Kyle and the rest baffled. He drives off to the north right away.

Hm... it's a very similar energic pattern like when that "bubble man" attacked me. In fact, it's not similar, it's identical.

following the signature, L3X find he is on a path to a mountain, finally, he might have a chance to get out of this desert.

a call came to L3X.

Lex, I've got bad news. Ray told us the story. showed us the file about the Bioweapon Elf. the problem, is that it appears to have mobilized. you didn't activate .EXE file did you?

as he recieved the signal, L3X was closing in on the signature he'd been following.

what is L3X's response?

In fact it doesn't matter. The laboratory was empty when I arrived. Somebody else must have been there before me, I was able to sense the presence of an entity that had left the facility just a few hours before I arrived.

(The mutants triggered it, I'm innocent. :D )

right, thanks for the info, We'll monitor it, if we can locate it.  what're you doin right now? will you be able to help us exterminate it if it attacks?

L3X arrived at the base of the mountain, and from somewhere on it came a distinct sense that something was wrong.

Hm... I can't talk right now, something's wrong here. I will get back to you when I'm done here... L3X over and out.

That thing is watching me right now, but I can't locate its position yet. Best is I keep HP mode ready. As soon as it tries anything funny I will trigger it and counterattack. This time it won't get away...

L3X readies himself for an attack by the "bubble man". He acts as if nothing will happen. He stops the Hover Glider and gets out. He walks around in the area a little bit to get an overview over the terrain.

trees, some at the base, a small forest, but he cans ee form even there, that up the mountain the trees dont exist.

thats when L3X suddenly went flying backwards.

it was a projectile, similar to the one the Bubble Man had used before, Scord.

a flurry of them came from several directions, and L3X caught the locations where all of them were coming from.

too far apart ans spontaeneous to be one person.

there were a recorded five different locations, L3X managed to catch some cover in the trees, and he had to choose which of the five to go to, for information.

The shooting stops when L3X finally hides behind a rock, because the trees couldn't give him real protection.

That was close... Good that I was expecting it.

Luckily L3X didn't have to run the HP mode yet.

Let's see... Two of them are at close range, two are at intermediate range, the last one is on the tree up there. To battle five enemies with projectile weapons would be very hard, even in HP mode. Hm... I have an idea. Those energy projectiles are not completely Scord technology based. I might be able to... hehehe...

L3X makes a quick area scan to be sure that his opponents haven't moved.

They are waiting for me to come out. This will be fun...

L3X activates his Holo-N Shield and then activates his HP mode.

Safe is safe... My battle capabilities are weakened and I don't want to take any chances.

He runs out of his cover and goe straight for his first target. Of course his enemies are shooting at him, but L3X blocks all shots with the Holo-N Shield. He reroutes two or three shots at the second target while get moves in to the first and knocks him out. The second target gets hit be reflected energy shots. L3X move in for the third target while he blocks the shots the same way and sends them up to the opponent on the tree. Quickly he can dispose of the third and fourth target. The last enemy simply falls down to the ground from the tree after taking a few of the reflected shots.

Even though my battle capabilities are weakened, I was able to defeat them in HP mode...

L3X turns off the HP mode and turns toward his five defeated enemies... (they are not dead, just beaten up.)

after there all taken down, L3X senses the same energy readings as the original bubble-man.

ha! you won't get information that easily!

all five of them began glowing at once.

judging from the data from the first person's explosion, five at once might actually cause some damage.

L3X had to move out of there fast.

Or not... While the five men concentrate on preparing to explode, L3X simply activates his Holo-N Shield and HP mode again. But instead of using the HP mode to make shots bounce off the shield further than usual, L3X increases the shields size to protect himself from the explosion as the explosion isn't too strong and hence not strong enough to blow through the shield. Hard to believe, but L3X stays completely unharmed as the five explode like one entity at the same moment.

Great... Again a meatbag mess... I suppose none of you is dead as I encountered one of your kind earlier. The only logical conlusion I was able to come to is that he had the ability to explode like you do. I suppose the regeneration process is a painful one. Don't make me make it even more painful or even lethal. Tell me what's this all about. Who are you? And why can you exist opposing all laws of physics?

(I just found an alternative way to handle the situation, it's not like I opposed you or something. Except of course you think it really is opposing. In that case I will change my statement.)

the man pulled out a dagger, it was weird though, it was flashing blue on the blade.

he leapt at L3X and swiped at the android with his dagger.

L3X avoids the attack swiftly, activates his Ethereal Blade out and cuts off the man's hand. Then he kicks the man right against his head who goes to ground from the heavy impact of the metal entity. L3X shuts down HP mode and takes the dagger.

A dagger with an mini EMP generator? Looks like Scord technology to me.

L3X turns the EMP generator out and the dagger becomes normal. He puts the dagger away.

If it is your wish to die over and over, I shall grant it. Your regeneration might not be painful, but I doubt that your death isn't.

L3X cuts the man into pieces with his Ethereal Blade.

Regeneration surely is not a cheap process looking from the view of energy consumption. Using my Ethereal Blade to cut you into pieces over and over is. I can tire you and when you're helpless I will torture you until you tell me what I want to know.

(Just a note: Regeneration has to consume somewhat of energy, otherwise it would simply oppose logic.)

(oh yeah, totally, this guys a trained assassin, one of the most skilled people at killing on Earth, and after one regeneration you were able to pwn him without a sweat, thats A LOT of energy)

Exactly, I am an android and hence my methods are unhuman. You can be fast and strong as much as you want, but you can't keep up with an android. No existing human can do. You have made us far too strong for your kind.

heheheh, well, truthfully this is all i know, I'll have you know that I was raised in a lab by the Scord, just a test-subject, and i was in fact, subjected to many inhumane acts, I was created to serve the Scord. In the meantime, since the virus was removed, L3X' battle capability has been restored to 91% of the maximum.

The right questions... My "imagination" can't go that far to imagine what the right questions are... What should I ask him? I can hardly consider this guy a meatbag... He would be rather a rubberbag...

Suddenly L3X has some kind of an idea.

L3X deactivates all of his battle systems and turns around. He slowly walks back to his Hover Glider, actually not expecting anything to happen, yet actively scanning the "blob's" movement. Better safe than sorry...

Hm... This is a very interesting choice of words I have made. Could it be that I am developing some kind of sympathy and respect for meatbags? Or am I just deceiving myself to be able to deceive others...? Isn't "lying" a human characteristic...?

L3X reached his vehicle without any difficulty.

the Hover Glider would not activate.

suddenly, L3X experienced what humans might call, a 'weightless' feeling, and suddenly ceased functioning.

(don't worry, nothing TOO bad is oging to happen, some big info is about to be released, and a major factor in my plans for L3X is about to be revealed, but in order to do that, I needed to get L3X to an enemy base, i figured the best wya to do that{whilst also increasing the WTF HAX factor} was to show something... unexpected.)
