Whatever happened to your whole "XAS CAN MAKE A GAME TO BEAT THE CRAP OUT OF ANY BABS GAME IN 2 FREAKING SECONDS"? Honestly, backing away from an actual challenge where you can prove yourself is worse than being clobbered. For then no one will take your game making abilities seriously.

Isn't the entire purpose of this contest to see whether XAS can beat Blizz ABS without all it's flashy doohickies? Not the real purpose, but the underlying one at least?

It might probably be a good idea that there is at least one judge having no idea what an ABS is. xD

I think making the winner a custom script (maybe even an exclusive for their project) would be better than the 20. You could also make the two runner ups each a small script addon or something like that. I mean 20$, or a custom script. I'd go with the script, if blizz made it.

It IS one small purpose. The other one is to prove cw7 wrong. But those are just along the way. Some of the older members should remember the Blizz-ABS contest that was supposed to be held a year ago. This is merely the same concept but involving any ABS, not just Blizz-ABS. One of the main purposes of the Blizz-ABS contest was to get more example games done, I hope this contest will achieve a similar effect for all ABSes.

Sorry to say Blizz, but if I enter, and win... it WILL be the script I'm after... and it likely won't be an easy script... Not that I wish to burden you or anything... but... there's just no other way I can think of...

As would the script depending on the difficulty and their personal need of it...

You can definitely make a good game with XAS. It might be harder than with BABS, I dunno, but I am sure you can ^^

I was thinking about adding a price. I couldn't really figure out would it would be so instead it'll just be my best wishes.

You can make a good game with any ABS. As modern algebra posted at RMRK.net, it's not just the ABS, it's the maker. Blizz-ABS just makes it easier. Same reason why I mentioned in the first post that Blizz-ABS is a tool and that it's up to the user to make a god game with it.

I fail to see how a system in a size manner of "Stat Distribution System" can make XAS epic while it can just serve as extension for Blizz-ABS

... OOOOOHHHH, wait, I get it! XAS is so poor that a script in the complexity range of Stat Distribution System would make it MUCH, MUCH better!
