i need a tutorial on how to use the message comands e.g. bold, different coulure etc.

i did know i few but i keep forgeting so it would be great if people called post one's they know.

p.s. sorry if there is an tut already here but i couldent find any in the search

They are all in the helpfile. But most actually advanced commands are built into AMSes.

Showing TextTo display messages on the game screen, use the [Show Text] event command. This is usually the most frequently used of all event commands.

The following control characters are available for use in text mesages:

\V[n]
Will be replaced by the value in variable number n.
\N[n]
Will be replaced by the name of actor number n.
\C[n]
Displays the characters that follow in color number n.
0 1 2 3 4(light blue in rmxp) 5 6 7

\G
Opens the money reserves window.
\\
Will be replaced by the '\' character.
Press [F2] while entering text to preview how the message window will look in the actual game.

yeah. i did want to get the official one but i didnt have the money to begin with so i got the Postality Knights enhanced version and iv never had any trouble with it so i just stayed with it.

Right, but there are some scripts out there that will absolutely NOT work with Postality Knights. I'm just warning you. I do believe all of Blizzard's scripts will work, but looking for scripts outside this website and you might experience compatibility issues.

if i ever do have problems i would get the original one but till then i'll stick to this.

i dont have it posted, i havent desided on the name yet.

i'll prob call it something like "Legends of the Shadon King"  if you wondering about the name origin its just a story me and my freind come up with when we were kids and iv always wanted to make a game whether its good or not and i thought i'll use the story i made up. i dont really like copying stories so i thought it was the best idea.

also i will get the original version at some point its just a matter of getting the money.

My advice...
If you want people interested, post everything you have so far to get people involved, and add/change the thread as you get more and more.

Simply state that the name is undecided. You will get viewers no matter the name or condition of the game.

true, after iv worked out a bit more of the plot i will post it. not for a while tho.

iv just looked at downloading the official version and its $60 so thats about £40. i think that will actualy be my next target to save up for (after i get resistance 2,  ) i herd that the official version has a better resolution so it will prob be worth paying for it. plus it would really suck if i get really far through my game and then something goes wrong.

any way i think this topic is resolved now so i'll change the title whilst i remember

Blizz's scripting tutorial includes an english help file, with a chapter on learning to script by an anonymous user. You might want to replace your current Japanese file with one you can read.
