  • Love's effect | By: Chris Limb
    Spoiler: ShowHide

Alas the bird has sang away
the night moon lust from far away
even when the sun is nice and high
you can hear in the distance a depressing sigh
for when love has left the air
it seems that most people just don't care
for when spring has came again
the love returns and we start to grin
though we know we'll be hurt once more
we don't care for we are in the loveless pour
so when you hear the birds start to sing,
remember that it won't ever in with a ring.

  • Steven | By: Chris Limb
    Spoiler: ShowHide

Staring in the full moon's light,
Ten young men start to fight,
    Evading each others blows,
Verboly throwing words that sound absurd,
Even when no one is winning,
No one wins when there is only killing.

  • Anthony | By: Chris Limb
    Spoiler: ShowHide

    Anthony my love burns bright
Nothing can put it out with all of its might
    Together I dream we'll be
Holding each other throughout my dream
Of course it was only a dream,
Noticing your smiled I can only say
Yes my love I'll be here and stay.

  • My poetry | By: Chris Limb
    Spoiler: ShowHide

you like my poetry so it would seem
I hope you enjoy them through your dreams
regardless if we don't talk to one another
I know only this that I would shudder
perhaps I'll be able to see
and the way you chose to be
but alas I know you wish a farewell
so I leave you to be with yourself and dwell

  • Ashely | By: Chris Limb
    Spoiler: ShowHide

Ashes to ashes and dust to dust,
stunned by the sun and turned to rust
Holding nothing by my heart's desires
Losing everything but my deepest admires
    Eventfully they fade and part
Yelling their words through the harp.

  • Amy | by: Chris Limb
    Spoiler: ShowHide

Avoiding the world like the stars
    Moving away far and far
    Yet never gaining any distance.

  • Where I am from | By: Chris Limb
    Spoiler: ShowHide

    Wondering for many a days
Hoping to see someone far away
Evoiding the dangers throughout my travels
Resting only to ease my devils
    Eventually I stop and say

In the moonlight I walk away

Am I scared am I feared
Motions seems to lift and disappeared

For once I see for once I followed
Running away from the cursed hollowed
Observing I wondered where I'll be
Might even be within my key.

  • Bobby | By Chris Limb
    Spoiler: ShowHide

    Busting away laughing today
Over the hills and far away
    Boys that decide to play
Boys that do nothing but cry away
Yet it seems that nothing has been done today.

  • when a dream deterred | By Chris Limb
    Spoiler: ShowHide

What happens when a dream deterred
is it sent away by an ancient bird?
    or crumble to dust
    like the humans lust
    Does it starve
and its hunger only grows large?
    or fade away
    and refuse to stay
    Maybe it moves on
    like a mindless pawned
    or an unanswered pray
    refusing to share.

  • Jacquenline |By: Chris Limb
    Spoiler: ShowHide

    Justice has its own meaning
    Avengances or fairness
cruel the way life really is
    Quiting never an option
    usually no one complains
    Everyone is usally the same
    Listening and taking it in
Interested in their own personal gain
    Nothing ever changes in life
    Even when death comes strife.

  • Lust | By: Chris limb
    Spoiler: ShowHide

the webs of love are hard to spin
and soon they make us start to sin
when we see the one we think
'are they the one' is what we think
shall this love burn bright and true
for only some work..only a few.

  • Tory | By: Chris Limb
    Spoiler: ShowHide

Trust and love is what I see
    Opening myself and being me
Realizing that my dreams might crush
You, I am willing to all such a crush.

Someone likes Chris Lamb, Lol...
Good poems though!

Kathis

How dare you sir make a mockery of my name, this is an outrage!
You seem to thing that a name is just a name that holds us like a cage?!
Ah but a name is an attachment that holds honor,
even though it is rather minor.
You shouldn't make amusement of ones name,
as if it was some sort of game.
Your choosing was rather prosaic,
that it has become rather archaic.
I am sure you wouldn't like me
If I made fun of your family tree.
So be kind for future use,
and tie ends to your words so their not so loose.
I hope your happy calintz16438
that you made this poetry start to sound like hate.
so I shall head and post no more,
poetry that I had in store.

The Legacyblade

The blazing blade of shining blue
Whose power stands unmatched
Summoned only with Hero's key
Shall change the world eternally

Shadow world shall attach
As blade of Legacy shines forth
Shall pierce the heart of Shadow's Call
As realm of gods begins to fall

Through soul of Hero it shall course
Although the shadows shall recede
When lightened hearts cease to dwell
In worlds where the seas still swell

When shadows again shall scourge the land
In days without a Hero's hand
Legacy, to us return

That's one I did for school. I was supposed to come up with a new poetic form, and I did. I call it...Celenathian Shorthand...

oh msn oh msn
how I hate you msn
you never send my messages
when ever I need them sent

Oh msn oh msn
How lowly you are msn
you seem to ignore my messages
when they're inportant

you never send them on time
you never deliever my files
you always seem to piss me off
when ever I need stuff

you always sign out randomly
you always sign me out
I wish you would stop doing that
because it makes me look bad

Oh msn oh msn
how I hate you msn
you don't deserve to live again
I want to shut you down.

Oh msn oh msn
maybe you will be kind again
and maybe things will be normal once more....
when you are my best friend again.

Blizzard

Here's a quick and short one by me.

Blistering skies
In my eyes
Blurred away my sight,
I struggle and fight.

I realize it's water,
But it doesn't matter.
A heavy breath
And a quick death.

My favorite poem:::
Thanatopsis by William Cullen Bryant: ShowHide
O him who in the love of Nature holds
Communion with her visible forms, she speaks
A various language; for his gayer hours
She has a voice of gladness, and a smile
And eloquence of beauty, and she glides
Into his darker musings, with a mild
And healing sympathy, that steals away
Their sharpness, ere he is aware. When thoughts
Of the last bitter hour come like a blight
Over thy spirit, and sad images
Of the stern agony, and shroud, and pall,
And breathless darkness, and the narrow house,
Make thee to shudder and grow sick at heart;--
Go forth, under the open sky, and list
To Nature's teachings, while from all around--
Earth and her waters, and the depths of air--
Comes a still voice--Yet a few days, and thee
The all-beholding sun shall see no more
In all his course; nor yet in the cold ground,
Where thy pale form was laid with many tears,
Nor in the embrace of ocean, shall exist
Thy image. Earth, that nourish'd thee, shall claim
Thy growth, to be resolved to earth again,
And, lost each human trace, surrendering up
Thine individual being, shalt thou go
To mix for ever with the elements,
To be a brother to the insensible rock,
And to the sluggish clod, which the rude swain
Turns with his share, and treads upon. The oak
Shall send his roots abroad, and pierce thy mould.

Yet not to thine eternal resting-place
Shalt thou retire alone, nor couldst thou wish
Couch more magnificent. Thou shalt lie down
With patriarchs of the infant world--with kings,
The powerful of the earth--the wise, the good,
Fair forms, and hoary seers of ages past,
All in one mighty sepulchre. The hills
Rock-ribb'd and ancient as the sun,--the vales
Stretching in pensive quietness between;
The venerable woods; rivers that move
In majesty, and the complaining brooks
That make the meadows green; and, pour'd round all,
Old Ocean's grey and melancholy waste,--
Are but the solemn decorations all
Of the great tomb of man. The golden sun,
The planets, all the infinite host of heaven,
Are shining on the sad abodes of death,
Through the still lapse of ages. All that tread
The globe are but a handful to the tribes
That slumber in its bosom.--Take the wings
Of morning, pierce the Barcan wilderness,
Or lose thyself in the continuous woods
Where rolls the Oregon and hears no sound
Save his own dashings--yet the dead are there:
And millions in those solitudes, since first
The flight of years began, have laid them down
In their last sleep--the dead reign there alone.
So shalt thou rest: and what if thou withdraw
In silence from the living, and no friend
Take note of thy departure? All that breathe
Will share thy destiny. The gay will laugh
When thou art gone, the solemn brood of care
Plod on, and each one as before will chase
His favourite phantom; yet all these shall leave
Their mirth and their employments, and shall come
And make their bed with thee. As the long train
Of ages glides away, the sons of men,
The youth in life's green spring, and he who goes
In the full strength of years, matron and maid,
The speechless babe, and the gray-headed man--
Shall one by one be gathered to thy side
By those who in their turn shall follow them.

So live, that when thy summons comes to join
The innumerable caravan which moves
To that mysterious realm where each shall take
His chamber in the silent halls of death,
Thou go not, like the quarry-slave at night,
Scourged by his dungeon; but, sustain'd and soothed
By an unfaltering trust, approach thy grave,
Like one who wraps the drapery of his couch
About him, and lies down to pleasant dreams.
