Hi all,
I just had the craziest idea for a make cms's thing....
Seeing as i can write basic but i'm not really great but i can give base codes and anyone else who uses basic
Could help ofcourse we'll need someone who knows Ruby too...

Any way this is my idea!
  • A visual cms maker Made with basic
  • friendly interface not intimidating
  • Free and easier on scripters

    So what do you guys think?
    I'mma need a team.

I don't really see the point 0_o CMS's are really easy to make for scripters, and most regular people will just request one. But if you wanna make this, go ahead.

I had the same idea! Converting the VB code to visual basic is one part (the easy part) but I don't know how to build that kind of interface in VB. Even if I did, a scene needs more than just windows and some scripting has to be involved. No GUI can come up with a flexible way to achieve that. Of course, it is possible to make simple stuff like managing sub scenes and handling command windows, but it makes me think is it really worth all the time and effort?

Just to be clear, I'm not going to be a part of this. Sorry. If anyone does this though, all the best :up:

You should first learn how to make a lagfree one-scene multi-window CMS before you actually attempt making a generator.

I can provide the windows i just need a regular scripter i can figure out the variable and multiple scenes could be seperated!

Maybe a positionable D&D text box would be a start?

Mr. Mo made one and posted it on RMRK. http://rmrk.net/index.php/topic,6977.0.html Its literally a drag and drop CMS maker but little bit more advanced. Little hard to work.

That attibute is overly optimistic without reason. xD

not really.
just saying if he can make a better one than it was a good use of his time.

I don't think it'll happen, but I'm not discounting that it could.

Well I can create basic CMS's. Pretty much adding some pizzaz to to and altering teh default one. Post your msn if you dont have one get one and we can talk. For now we could try making a basic one.

EDIT: I am in no way helping you create the program itself. I am just here to provide you the coding. That is all.
