I have noticed that more and more people are taking up development in C#. That's a good thing since C# is a very strict language and teaches you to code properly with types. Also you can learn how to work with event driven development since C# is based on that.
Since not so many people are using it, I am making a poll instead of making a new section right away. Do you think we should add another subsection in the Electronic and Computer Section especially for C#?

Aqua

I wanna learn C#, and it'd be much easier to read threads about it if they're in the same place :D

YES!

winkio

It seems like a popular topic, especially by the fact that everyone has been using that C# help thread a lot, and it'd be interesting to have project related threads instead of just Questions and answer threads.

Go for it.

G_G

I vote yes, I mean I had a question that was answered but I had to read through that whole topic to find it -_- I think it'd be easier to have its own subsection.

Fallen Angel X

I'm taking up C# (Along with RGSS), might as well make it easier for me :P

GAX

C# and XNA in one section wouldn't be a bad idea...

I think I have enough votes. It is decided then!

Personally, I find that C# deserves a section no more than Python, Perl, C++, VisualBasic, Obj-C, Java, LISP, FORTRAN, CFML, or COBAL.

(everything up to LISP was serious)

Keep your worthless fanboy-douche opinion to yourself.
Nobody here's using Python, Perl, C++, VisualBasic, Obj-C, Java, LISP, FORTRAN, CFML, or COBOL (not COBAL) or at least not posting any questions about it while with C# it's a different case. There were a few VB.NET threads, but it seems that people have lost interest.

That wasn't "fanboy," moron, I was just stating my opinion by listing off the other languages that should have their own section if we give any one of them a section. Now, if this was a heavily C#-oriented forum, it'd be different, but I only see a few people playing around with it right now and I personally believe we should just stick to one forum for all miscellaneous languages.

And for the record, only ONE of those was an Apple language. The rest are open-source or proprietary. A few of them I HATE, so no, Blizzard, I'm NOT being biased this time around. But no, an opposing opinion just HAS to be squelched, and what better way than a couple of ad hominems and some admin-powers?

And note the

, which pretty much screams "I'm just kidding for the most part, but my personal opinion is different."

"Microsoft's language gets an own section and none of any other language I prefer doesn't?! NOT FAIR! I'M GOING TO COMPLAIN!"

Now you tell that this isn't bias.
Also, I'm calling you an open-source and an Apple fanboy. I am aware of the fact that of the languages you mentioned a part is open source or Unix-lover languages and others are proprietary.
I hate VB as well, but if more people had taken up development in it, I would have made a section for it. But all I saw was a random VB post here and there over a few months and that was it.

Opposing opinion? In case you haven't noticed, this topic is a poll and most people have voted for the section, not against it. Also, what do my admin powers have to do with this? I posted a poll, something every member is entitled to do.
You want an extra section? Good. Show me 3-4 members who are actually working with it and I'll make it. It was always this way here on CP. I seriously don't understand what's up with your victim attitude.

I vote for a Ruby Section. It's a very popular language here. :haha:
Stuff I've made:

"Never think you're perfect or else you'll stop improving yourself."

"Some people say the glass is half full... some half empty... I just wanna know who's been drinking my beer."

Blizzard

LMAO! You mean a separate Ruby section, not RGSS? I don't think anybody except me actually utilizes Ruby.

I use it for small stuff every once in a while, and for testing out concepts. I even wrote a fortune frontend in RubyCocoa a few weeks ago, it's very fun to go back to the language every once in a while.

Also, let me assure that nothing makes you miss Ruby more than using effing Objective-C. It's like someone's dangling proper Ruby in front of your face, but then raping you every time you get close to using it.

Blizzard

If more people use it and want help on it, I'll make a section. No big deal.
