Thorn
Demo 0.5

This game started off with the discovery of Blizz-ABS. I have to admit, I read a bit about it and immediately wanted to make a game with it. Thorn is pretty much like and MMO only, without the MMO-ness... Oh and the name? I had no clue what else to call it...

In this Demo

Well! The easiest way to explain something is by showing them...So here's a video!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TY7deRdrwNQ

Play Time:
About 3 hours if you want to get the most of it

Player Created Characters:
Create your own characters, one of each class, for a total of 8 characters (4 in this demo).

Skills:
Characters learn new skills as they level up. Other skills can be learned through items or other methods.

Pets:
Buy pets for your characters. These pets will level up through battle and can learn new skills through pet trainers (not in this demo).

Missions:
Complete missions to earn QP which can be used to open special stores at the Quest Shop.

Quest Shop:
Buy special weapons, armour, skills and pets.

There isn't much here story-wise, that'll come in later. If you notice any glitches, please notify me!

Looks pretty neat, I'm gonna download it and let you know what I think...one question though, could you put direct links to the scripts in the credits rather than just having it lead to the mainpage of the site?

Screenshots please. D:
I don't care about the video... I want screenshots!!! ;_____;

And also info about the game... :P
Storyline, classes, whatevers

Lol, I was just about to fix your download link, but you were faster. xD
It looks quite good. Mapping is above average and the game is graphically appealing even though it's mainly (if not 100%) RTP graphics. It's good to see Blizz-ABS working. :)

I don't think there's really a need for direct download links for the scripts here at CP since you can always find them easily over the http://chaos-project.com/index.php?option=com_scriptdatabase&view=scriptdatabase&Itemid=29.

@Aqua: Video is way more impressive, I have to admit. But yeah, a few screenshots would be good anyway.

Looks great, I forgot how clean that HUD was in-game :).  If I ever get time, I'll play it.

Ah, thanks, I didn't know about that :P

I played the game a bit, but then I died xD
The controls take a bit of getting used to, but it's like that for most new games.

Woo I'm in the credits!

Found a bug, I chose thief as teh class, was reading info on it, I chose no because I decided not to be a theif. Then I chose the mage. Then I select my appearence, its the thief's graphic, also after typing my name I was a thief, then I talked to the crystal that opened the party switcher and the mage was in the reserves/

I'll look into it! Thanks!

EDIT: Ok, so the part where you were still a thief then picked mage, yes, it still shows the current character...In the party switcher, you can choose two of the characters that you have created (party of 2). So that might be why...

If my explanation has nothing to do with the problem though...I'll try and look into it again.

G_G

yea thats what happened, but I didnt create the thief when it asked if I wanted to I clicked no, then created the mage.
