Video games sure have awesome music, yep yep. And not just battle themes either, am I right? Post musics here from video games that you liked. I'm sure everyone will enjoy the song and if they're intrigued enough might even play the game! Remember that remixes are accepted and encouraged!

Kometto Nekono (Rather Than a Life of Finality): ShowHide

A touching song from the visual novel Narcissu. It's a work safe game and terribly sad too. It will break your heart just like this song makes it's listeners feel a solemn and serene clam.

A remix of a Touhou song by dBu. Out of all the rock remixes this has to be one of my favorites! It's just too fast and aggressive for me to ignore! It's a remix of an earlier Touhou album song that came out on the PC-98 and not Windows so you might have trouble playing it :p

From the most beloved visual novel of all time, Fate/Stay Night. Definitely an interesting song and captures the atmosphere of the great Gilgamesh. It's a bit strange so some might not appreciate it's strange progression.

An amazing Chrono Trigger remix by Abadoss. Absolutely stunning if you played the original. You'll be able to recognize a lot of different tracks in there. It's almsot like a mix of the entire soundtrack but it has some amazing elements of originality if you care to listen all the way through. It's very serene.

So that's my contribution! I hope I can get some more people to share their favorite tracks and remixes!

The Chrono Trigger one is barely recognizable as CT, IMO. Not that that's a bad thing, but he really did take creative liberty. It sounds a lot more like KH2 to me.

EDIT:
Also, the entire FF9 soundtrack. 'Nuff said. Of course, I might just love it because it was the first real game I played (I got into gaming relatively late in my life), but it's still awesome.

Off the top of my head:

Starfox - Corneria
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cDFJQC7BhD8

FF7 - JENOVA
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1KXiVBA7svc

Super Mario Galaxy - Floater Land

Sonic 3: Ice Cap Zone - the original is quite primitive, so I included 2 good remixes - one that kind-of recreates the original, and one that is just awesome.

Classic Starfox is epic yes, but I'm not too big a fan of JENOVA. At least you didn't link One Winged Angel like everyone else XD

Jeez that Super Mario Galaxy track is awesome @_@ I'm not too surprised since it was getting a lot of attention as a game. I'd expect the soundtrack to be epic just like the game was supposed to be. I think I should check it out some more.

Those Sonic tracks really bring back some memories of playing it when I was a kid. Such a good game ;_; Those remixes are nice...ParagonX9 lol. He's really good but I didn't realize he did remixes. I really like the second one though. totally serene and pretty. Both have a lot of creativity.

Here's a remix from Cave Story:

Remix of Last Battle and possibly the most metal remix of a Cave Story song. Makes me feel like I'm listening to a Crow's Claw Touhou remix. It's by Leaf Xceed who is extremely talented in making remixes even if his creativity is limited to just the intruments. He really does a nice "genre conversion".

Remix of Touhou 6's Necrofantasia by Hellion Sounds. I'm doing a lot of metal it seems @_@
