After integrating RMX-OS into Pokemon Essentials for my game, I get the server status and the login/register works fine. After the intro of Essentials finishes, I am given the following error:

RMX-OS does not work with Pokemon Essentials just like that. You need additional scripts and you need to configure it properly. And I will not provide either.

I realize that. I have the additional scripts. I don't know what is causing the error. But since you want to be of no help whatsoever, whatever. Pokemon Neon sucks dick anyways. I have the entire game decrypted and I should just release the entire source to everyone. How about that? Jcsnider would love that. Asshole.

So let me get this straight.  Some guy downloads a game, uses a program made by somebody else to crack it, and then calls other people assholes because they won't help him replicate the code he found?

Legal action can be taken against you, but you obviously don't care about that.  The thing is, if you post other people's work without their permission, anybody who sees it will recognize you for the scum that you are, and not only will any attempts at being a douchebag be closed down by the admins of whatever sites you post it on, but you will also consequently be banned from just about everywhere, because people don't like theives and criminals.

Goodbye, douchebag.

I love how you added "Have a nice day" at the end. It's sounds like "Dear User, I will brutally kill and rape you. Have a nice day."

I think this is one of the few topics I'd be okay with RoseSkye posting a picture of a naked man, though they'd have to have a tiny dick and a nametag that says "Hello, my name is joeray"

(Don't hold me to this Rose, don't wanna see you banned)

Anyways, hope this fucker enjoys their ban.

I know I'll probably get yelled for this but meh. If you don't read the entire post just know i do agree with you guys. but in another veiw

Although Blizzard and Jcsnider have worked out how to make a Pokemon game with RMX-OS and this kid did steal/crack/hacked into the exe to steal the scripts. The same thing could be turned around and said about poccil who made the scripts. Not for the scripts its self. But using tilesets from the original games that where hacked. There for in return Jcsnider and anyone who uses the poccil starter kit or the kyledove's tilesets that where hacked out of the Shino regions could all have legal actions taken against them. I'm sure Nintendo don't care but if you think about it the hacked tile sets that come with the starter kit are just tile sets that where taken from the GBA/DS games and made to fit into rmxp.

On another note, no person who is looking to make a game should jack another person's game and say its there. No matter where he goes, he will most likely will not get any help.

Please Don't Hate Me For My Veiw!

Blizzard

Actually Nintendo (and any other company in the world) doesn't mind if you make a fangame. But if you used the game for commercial purposes, they'd take your last shirt. Generally it's a gray area. It's technically not legal (you wouldn't believe how many there are that aren't), but companies don't mind the gratis advertising.
Poccil didn't hack RMXP or anything. He modified the base package and added his own scripts instead of the RTP script and he's distributing the RMXP project.

On the contrary, hacking the RGSSAD archive (what joeray did) IS illegal.

Quote from: RMXP Help FileDue to its nature, the encrypted archive's internal format has not, and will not, been released to the public. Please refrain from analyzing it.

Reverse engineering an RGSSAD archive is illegal because it's direct cracking of closed source.

I said other than his scripts. I stated he made them. Even though. Hacking games and making roms  are illegal unless you own them. For the most part people just rip the tile sets which is illegal. So if you truely think about it unless the tile sets are 100% custom made you may still be sued by any company that you, use their resource.

Blizzard

That is true. Ripping graphics is technically illegal. But as I said, companies don't care about that.

I'd like to throw in my two cents. Now I've messed with RGSSAD Extractors/Decryptors before. And it only extracts the basic RTP data like weapons items skills etc. Pokemon Essentials encrypts all the Pokemon data into the archive.

Now even if you do successfully decrypt his project, you most likely wouldn't be able to do anything for the sake of not having his other data. Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm sure thats how it works.

legacyblade

On the decrypting, there is a RGSSAD extractor that extracts everything. All you have to do is paste the ripped contents in a blank project (or just move one of those project file things to the folder) and you'll have a decrypted project file of the game. You can mess with the eventing, change the scripts, use the graphics, and everything as if you'd been given an unencrypted version of the game itself. I own one, but that's in case I loose my darkness rebirth project file and have to use an outdated download to get back my work.

on a more on topic note, this guy is just so beyond being a n00b. Is he like 10 or something?

There's just one thing that doesn't add up to me...

QuoteI have the additional scripts. I don't know what is causing the error.

QuoteI should just release the entire source to everyone.

If he has the same exact scripts as he says he does, and gets an error anyway, then why wouldn't it cause an error for anyone else? I mean, if it's still causing an error, Pokémon Neon probably has its own modified server as well, that only jcsnider and probably Blizzard know how to make. So even if he were to release it, wouldn't it be pointless because it wouldn't work for us, either?

Just something I was wondering.

Edit: Just added the c in jcsnider's name  :^_^':

That is if your assuming someone doesn't capture the packets sent from and to the server. If someone actually takes the time to decrypt those and see what is being sent and what isn't then they could reverse engineer a server like people do for WoW or any other game.

Blizzard

PNO uses the default RMX-OS 1.08 server with the default 1.08 scripts. Additionally to that it has a configuration with the proper save data set up and several additional scripts to make RMX-OS work with PNO properly. Other than those scripts, it's pure RMX-OS. He was probably simply too stupid to get it running properly or he used a server other than 1.09 with the scripts 1.08 from the decrypted project.
