Hi I'm using Blizz-ABS and RMX-OS and I don't want everyone in my game to be the same. So are there any in-game character creator like those in online games? Like when you login then it ask you to create a character by choosing it's eyes, hair, mouth etc. If any of you know any scripts like that which are on web, please gimme the website... or just simply copy-paste the script here... If there's a good scripter here, would you script that if you're free? Or you can just simply teach me how to do it if you know a way to do it without scripts... Your help would be greatly appreciated...  :) (Must be compatible with Blizz-ABS...)

also looking for something like this actually...
maybe a Variant of blizz's visual equipment ?

the only way i can think to do it is to have a very large graphics folder...

Remember that you can use hue-change, you don't have to store a same graphic of different colours.
Do you like ambient/electronic music? Then you should promote a talented artist! Help out here. (I'm serious. Just listen to his work at least!)

True, but... how would you go about changing eye color, skin color, and hair color separately?

I remember seeing a Spanish script for this.
Problem: Even when I found it 2 years ago, it was a broken download link.

Just saying...
This is gonna be in Remexos, but I'm not sure if we're releasing it for the public.

So yeah, it's possible.

I have that saved on my portable hard drive. I will upload to my site's FTP, and then link it here later.

Well here's the basic grasp so you don't have a lot of graphics for the character making part.

2 Bodies. 1 Male and 1 Female.
Set of eyes.
Maybe at least 5 styles of hair for each gender.

That way when editing the player you could possible have a slider that changes the sprites hue.

Wow... I really hope that script hasn't been deleted...  :O.o:

Hmm... is there a way to build graphics with the script then save them as a bitmap?  Wait... problem already arising, he's using BABS, which requires a shit ton of specific animation graphics for attacks, skills, etc... scratch that idea, at least for BABS.

Jek

It will not work with the action charsets in BlizzABS.

Kett Shee

*lvls up* I think you should put this in your resource section, for site traffic. :D

Thanks for the level ups, everyone. :D

I was thinking about sharing all of these old, lost scripts I have on my external HDD.  What do all of you think?

G_G

Unlocks, removed all spam. Topic is still open if anyone needs help with the script or something.

That's great!

holy416m

Okay... that script is super... I tried it in it's demo and it worked fine... But when I used it in my game, it failed =(... I'm using RMX-OS and Blizz-ABS and some of those add-ons... I think it's a Blizz-ABS problem... somebody? help?
Script 'Easy Character Creator' line 332: ArgumentError occurred.
wrong number of arguments(2 for 1)

That's what it said...

Tyril132

Regardless of whether or not it's causing a scripting error...

QuoteIt will not work with the action charsets in BlizzABS.

...it's still not going to be compatible.

Hypothetically, even if you did get it to work, you'd have to modify the script in a way that it could generate the additional sprites required for the BABS animation layout.

Dang... so that means I have to find another in-game char maker which is compatible with Blizz-ABS? So disappointed...  :(

At the moment, I don't think such a thing exists. You'll either have to make due with eventing somehow, write the script yourself, or have players select a character rather than making their own.
