Yeah Nintendo is gearing up to whoop some serious ass.

making children's games

Goldeneye

And Metroid: Other M

Super Mario is a game about a paranoid italian plumber who gets hallucinations from magic mushrooms. I don't get how that could be a game for children.

Spaceman McConaughey

If you say "hallucinations", then I wonder what the game would look like through all of the enemies' eyes...

Holy shit! It looks awesome!! :D

Very true. I'm just surprised no one else made that comment.

Vell

By the time I showed up the comment was already made.

Portal 2 will be amazing! As will Rock Band 3. Those were my favorites at E3.
(Hey, that rhymed.... Kinda.)

Nah, just pointing out their tendancy to rhyme with the same word. It's more of a compliment actually.

Vell

mmkay then, that's alright.

<3 Black Sabbath. Ozzy Osbourne, greatest Metal singer ever.

Subsonic_Noise

While I do really like Ozzy's style, I don't agree with that. But those be opinions.

I love how when the wii first came out, all the xbox and ps3 fanboys said "oh, nobody want to jump around waving motion controls."  And now, the XBOX's motion controls literally are jumping around, and PS3's are pretty much the same thing as the wii's, except there's two of them, so they are twice as expensive.

Blizzard

When I saw that you posted in this thread, winkio, I knew it was worth opening. I totally agree with what you said. xD

Agreed. Dio is an amazing metal singer if we're going down that route, but I like James Labrie back when he did Images and Words for Dream Theater. He's really good.

The bad part about the Wii is they never capitalized on the potential for motion controls to be honest. I'm just going to put it out there that motion controls will just be a fad until they solidify the technology to the degree that motion controls are EXCEPTIONALLY REPONSIVE. Sorry, caps and I don't feel like fixing it.

winkio

The technology is a small part, the  development is a large part.  You need the software to make it engaging.  And as shown on the Wii so far, most developers have no idea what to do with it.  Nintendo used it exceptionally well in many of their games, as is to be expected from first party, but there were a lot of games with bad controls.  The Conduit, though, was a good exception to that statement.  My point is that no matter how advanced the technology is, developers need to learn to use it well.  And sony and microsoft are late to the game on motion controls, and thus don't have enough experience to put out good games right away.

Wow, I'm a late poster...

Yeah! I'm excited too. Not so much about GS, but a lot about TLOZ: SS, KI and a bit about Metroid: OM, even though I don't really play Metroid. SS, here I come!

P.S. I heard DK and Kirby look good too :P.

rodas

I'm really exited for zelda..  many people didn't like the graphics and stuff, but if there is anything I have learned over the past years: It's that zelda always comes out amazing and it does by making the best out of gameplay.
Hey! I will do some evented systems, if you have something pm me and I will see what I can do. I will do only one at a time as I am also working on a game.

SBR*

Lol, I actually LOVE the graphics style! But I love CS even more...

Hellfire Dragon

How can Kingdom Hearts 3D not be mentioned here yet  I'd like to see more about this game but there's not much about it at all :(
Little Rant: ShowHide

I love the KH games but it's incredibly annoying that they keep releasing the games on different consoles... So far I played 4 of games, planning on getting Re:Coded for the DS but I probably won't get a PSP just so I can play Birth by Sleep, but if I want to play this one I need a 3DS. They really need to stop changing the console.

Anyway, this new Xbox looks alright, about time they made a quieter version.

That's all I have to say for now.

I would love to see less bad JRPGs.

Fixed.

I had given up hope. But your correction is the truth.

Supposedly, the 3DS has a ton of anti-piracy measures installed, which should be good for business :D  (anti-piracy means more serious developers will make games)

I myself am looking forward to playing the 3DS until my eyes fall out of their sockets.

SBR*

Lol, yeah! OoT FTW!
