OCD Habits

I don't know about the rest of you, but I know a few people(including myself) that tend to have at least one habit that bugs them constantly. For example, I always feel the need to have the best grammar and spelling I can, because it slightly makes up for my grotesque handwriting. It bugs the hell out of me when I don't make sense or I spell something incorrectly, especially when I don't go back and correct it. So I was wondering, does anyone here have something like a habit that bugs them all the time?

I have a similar habit when coding. When I know that a piece of code has been written ugly (as in: no proper spacing), I want to go back and fix it even though it's not my code. ._.

My tv volume has to end in a 5 or 0. One that really bugs me is I have to take an even amount of steps on both feet on a certain area.

Hard to explain. Say theres a rug in the center of a huge room over some wood flooring and that I'm standing on the wood floor. Well before I can go on the rug, each foot must have an equal amount of steps on that wood. And predomitely or whatever my left foot as to take the first step. Otherwise if I don't start with my left foot or have an even amount of steps it drives my crazy.

I had another one, but I got rid of it. Whenever I walked the streets, I always had to step in the middle of the tiles, never having my foot on two tiles at the same time. xD

I just noticed another one, I always have to walk up and down stairs with both feet touching the stairs, I step up with one foot then step up with the other one onto the same stair step. I can never bring myself to step one foot per stair step.

I'm addicted to simmetry or something. Like, I get really, really annoyed when things aren't symmetric by a bit. I usually arrange the pens on my desk to be perfectly parallel (I once even sharpened them all to the same size), and I spend hours adjusting  a picture I hung up on the wall to be in a perfect position and so on. It's okay most of the time, though, since I can ignore it and it's just for things I see all the time.

OCD stands for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. It commonly manifests itself into a necessity for cleanliness, however this is not the primary symptom. OCD gives you Obsessions - thoughts, ideas that don't go away that constantly are there, bugging you. The Obsessions give you Compulsions to satisfy them. You can't stand the thought of dirt and no matter how many times you clean yourself you feel dirty. That's an obsession. Then, as a compulsion, you was your hands upwards of twenty times a day.

Obsession -> Compulsion. It doesn't mean 'I want everything ever to be neat.'

And there you have my answer to this question.

I know this is really bad but I had this really bad habit of always looking at a woman's breasts when talking to her. I have a hard time sleeping at night, knowing that I'm a pervert. What's worse is that I feel I'm comparable to Blizz in that department. I also have this weird convulsion to blink. It's really annoying yet so obsessive that I just feel compelled to do it without even thinking about it sometimes. I also have an odd habit of trying to make my steps go to a certain rhythm when I climb up stairs. I also always count the steps in the stairs. Always.

->It may be a bit disturbing but when I think deeply, each letter & number in the words that come to my mind is given a number equivalent to the number of times you press it on a cellphone... What's even more disturbing is that the sum of the equivalent numbers of everything I think of should be divisible by 3... Screw-y right?

I arrange my money, too. Since I always know about how much money I have in my wallet, it's a lot easier not to mess up when paying while being drunk since I know which note is placed where. xD
