3. I am wanting just a simple script that will make a players log in name their characters name in game. So in the HUD where it would display the character's name is will should the players Login name. Or better yet the other way around. Where the character's name is displayed over the avatar instead on the login name, helping with account security. In addition the name over the avatar would have to be able to change after a player have inputed a new character name using the default name_input event.

To name a character the same as the login, sue this:
$game_actors[1].name =
$network.username

Ex. If my username for login was "tester 5", it would change the first actor in the database's name to tester 5.

Where do I put or find that part of the code?

Sorry for not being clear. You can just make a paralel process event that has that as a script command.

ojp2010

On every map or just the starting map?

Wizered67

You only need to do it once, and it will be a permanant effect. It would be like doing name processing event and selecting that as the name.

Ryex

do it in a common event set to parallel process and then turn the event off through a condition or something

He's right, it's enough if you do it only one time when the a new game is created / new account is registered.
