Having a problem with BlizzABS.
In the Config utility,I can set a weapon to simply 'bow' and it works fine, however, when I set it to bow and arrow and assign it an item to use as ammo, when i try to use it in game it plays a sound effect to tell you it isn't working or something. I did have ammo in my inventory, it was even hot-keyed. I read the user manual but I still couldn't understand what was going wrong. Thanks in advance

Aqua

Did you press the hotkey to which you assigned the ammo?

BrokenMessiah

Ah, so thats how it worked. I figured it'd be as simple as having ammo in your inventory. Oh well. Thanks for the help

Yeah, I acknowledge that this system is more than a bit counterintuitive, and I'm looking into ways to improve it in future releases of Blizz-ABS.

Blizzard

winkio, I have an idea how to work around this issue. If you have only 1 item as ammo assigned, the weapon should use it. If a weapon can use more than 1 item of ammo, the player has to assign it to the hotkey. What do you think of that?

Yeah, that will work for if there is only 1 item.  But i was thinking of modifying the equip screen so that when you equipped an ammo weapon, you could choose its ammo.

Aqua

That might cause people to ask for help when they use custom equipment scenes.

Hm, good point.  Maybe I should just make a new equip screen that comes up whenever you try to use an ammo weapon without an item equipped.  That seems like a better solution.

EDIT:  Or maybe just switch ammo buttons?  It would automatically equip the next available ammo.

Blizzard

That sounds like a good idea. You should make that feature optional, though.
