How long do these promo codes last? I mean do I have to enter it in right away, or can it wait a month while my iPod's getting fixed? If I can wait a month or two I'll take one kind sir!

You can always buy the game on another device with your account. Then, when you get your iPod back, you can simply download it again onto your device for free. It will still say that you have to buy it, but once you confirm that you want to buy it, you will get a message that you already bought it and that it will be downloaded onto your device.

EDIT: The exact procedure goes like this. Open iTunes and click on the "Redeem" link. Enter your code and that's it. The game will be downloaded into your iTunes library and you will have the game on your device after syncing.
