Dad's being a major ass and he grounded me. He gets on my fucking computer and goes on his facebook or whatever then he sees that someone sent me a message through MSN which is fucking free may I add. And the person who sent me a message it said "This person is using their phone" or whatever. Standard text messaging rates may apply. So here he comes and starts yelling at me for no FUCKING reason and blames for our fucking high wireless bill. He thinks I'm using my fucking phone to chat and now he grounded me from everything. And what really pisses me off is that I'm getting blamed for our high text message bill when I hardly even text. My dad texts all the time. It pisses me off.

I won't be on for awhile so I'm letting you guys know. Hopefully it won't be for long but I can't get through my dads ignorant fucking head. I'll see you guys later.

lol been there. about 4 years ago we had an ancient gateway the this was at least 8 years old running on a Pentium III. any way it stared failing. my parents looked through my email at the time and they saw an email from a site I used. I had though that I was old enough to use the internet and register at a site I knew was safe with out asking them about it. well the site sent me an email about a personal message or something like that. my dad saw it and was convinced that the computer had gotten a virus through my email. and blew a gasket. I ended up grounded for two months. well the thing is that the computer had been failing with inexplicable errors for months and we had even reformatted the hard drive and reinstalled windows but the errors kept popping up.  obviously the hardware was failing be it the hard drive or the memory and the computer clearly didn't have a virus because that would have gone away after a reformat no matter what.

we ended up replacing the computer. a month after I was grounded.

I hate parents who think they are tech savy but really know as much as a first grader. thats my dad for you, and he actually knows how to program. in fortran. he once was savy but stopped keeping up. thats almost worse.

My parents used to get pissed at me because I would go on YouTube. They thought that is where the computer problems came from.

I eventually had to drill it into their heads that YouTube is owned by Google, a multi-billion dollar company, and they would never fuck up their reputation by sending viruses through YouTube. Of course, they were still skeptical like the idiots they can be. Even when my mom got her Epic 4G with Sprint, a phone with Google's mobile OS Android, she still was skeptical about using YouTube on it. WHAT THE FUCK?

Also, whenever I was at a friend's house, if we went on YouTube, we'd get in trouble on the spot. I tried to tell his mom, but she took it all as nonsense, as if I was the computer illiterate one. Fucking idiot.

And on the subject of computer illiteracy, I always get into an argument with a friend who says that a Windows virus could infect anything. Linux, Mac, Android, iOS, feature phones, dumb phones, ect. Little did he know that arguing such made him look like a dumb-ass in front of everyone, without him or them knowing it. xP

Oh my god you guys are awesome <3 I love you all! So anyways my dad looked into MSN while I was at school and realized what I was trying to tell him was right. So no longer grounded, thank god it didn't last long. But he's still blaming me for our wireless bill. >_>

Try to explain to him the wireless thing, maybe he'll listen. But don't be emotional about it. Stay calm and try to talk with reason. He might just listen to what you have to say.
