Grassland Zone Mapping

Ok,

So I thought that since we are using a world map to select areas anyways, that I would simply force the player to go to the CZ. That way, once they beat the CZ the can return to the world map and once they have discovered the mountains they can just select those.

If this isn't how we want it, I can change it.

There is 1 hidden treasure box in every OUTDOOR map. 5 in total. See if you can find them all :)

If my Windows partition was working correctly, I'd take a look. As it is, you'll have to wait for a couple days if you want my opinion. Still, I think it's great to see people putting effort into this project. Great job! I've been working on the story, myself; I'll probably post an update some time tomorrow.

The main part of the maps where the player can walk looks decent, but the edges are just too plain.  Keep continuing the details to the edges of the map.

Ch-ch-ch-changes:

  • Shuffled the trees in the farm to look more realistic.

  • Added 1 new map: Shalaren Hill

  • Added more detail to the edges of maps.

  • Added 1 hidden treasure chest.

  • Added fireflies to all maps containing water.

I have 2 more maps, I may add a third for 10 outside maps.

They are not yet up to my standard of quality.

Also: you were just posting in Volcanic Zone no?

I'm just excited to see some new maps. Things are starting to take shape bit by bit.

So would we be fine then with 10 outdoor maps for grassland? I can do more.

I'd say probably closer to 20 for grassland, as it has to provide the main route as well as exploration.

The latest Grassland Zone is no long really just a grassland zone. We also have an underground cave, and new to this update, a WORLD MAP!

I also made some minor adjustments but the main things I got done in this small update were:

Complete overhaul on the fishing system. 4 types of fish.

Old Pole: Small, Med.
Dec Pole: Med, Large.
Silkberry Lure: Large, Sapphire.
and
World Map first draft is fully functional.

I have plans to connect additional zones to the world map as they are posted.

I also have plans to eventually start the mountain zone as it is next to the grassland.

Let me know your thoughts!
