I've always had this game idea popping into my head, where you play first person view, as a child who is a victim of his abusive dad.
It would basically start out with you being in your crib one night crying really loud because you're scared, your dad comes in, you laugh happily because you now know you're "safe", and he then picks you up and starts violently shaking you yelling at you to "shut the fuck up" and he "has work in the morning". This, of course, makes you cry even more, and he drops you back in your crib out of severe anger and yells for your mom to come in to handle this. She cradles you, knowing what just happened, telling you it'll all be fine, ect.
The next chapter would have you at about say, 7 years old? You are a bit chubby, and kindly ask your dad for some ice cream after dinner, where he then crumbles his newspaper in disgust, telling you that "you do not need any ice cream, you're fat enough!". You made the wrong choice and sighed angrily, which then triggered your dad to knock the table out of his way and come after you in a violent rage, yelling all sorts of foul things at you, when he then attacks you. In your view, you see your left eye's vision getting red and distorted as his fist hits it over and over again, and all you hear is his rage and your character crying and screaming for his mom to help him in a voice that grows ever weaker. She does come to help, and gets all the violence on herself.
Anywho, this all leads up to the playable chapter of you being at a high school age, where you pretty much won't take shit from everyone, and get into various fights which are triggered by walking down the halls, and pressing some sort of action button to engage in fights with people who yell out insults to you. The final fight of that chapter lands you in juvenile hall due to getting someone so bad, they go in a coma. Eventually, you are transfered to a prison, because you aged to an adult, where that next chapter takes place. Skipping all that, the next chapter would give you bad news that your mother was murdered by your dad, who is now on the run. You set out to find him, to get the revenge you so desire. It all leads up to the point where you find him in old house on the outskirts of town, where he is under the influence of cocaine, and the like, and he has completely lost his mind due to years of drug use. But when he sees your face, something clicks, and he gains back that one bit of reality that tells him why you might be there: to end his life.
He begs you for forgiveness, and that he never meant for "anything that did happen to play out", and that he "lived a stressful life".
You tell him, that "everything else could be forgiven", but killing his mom was overboard. You put the gun in his face, and stare at him, realizing what condition he's in, that he's already dead on the inside, and cannot tell what is what around himself. You then have either the choice to end him there, or leave him to suffer since you know that even though he did not want to die, he'd be worse off in this state. So you make either choice.
This was a very bad and crude explanation of a game idea that has been playing out in my head for a while, so meh.
