This early in development almost everything here is subject to changes.

Introduction:
Spoiler: ShowHide

Yo!

I tried RPG Maker a few years back and just recently started playing around with it. Fun as hell.

I view RPG Maker as a nice recreational hobby, something I do when I got some time over. And because it takes time doing a whole game by yourself, it probably will move forward in a pretty slow pace.

The game will also be in Chapter-format. This is because I have bad exp with finishing epic 999k + game hours games. I will also release patches with new content and bug-fixes.

Nonetheless! I present to you: Children of the Night

Background Story:
Spoiler: ShowHide

In a peaceful country the people suddenly started to hear strange whispering
in the dark and were haunted in their dreams by evil voices, tempting and threatening
them.

When the whispering grew stronger it stood clear they originated from the
unascendable northern mountains. Something horrible had awoken on the other
side.

The whispers started to drive the people mad and violent. Friends and families
turned against each other. There were murder. Rape. Blood.

To avoid bloodbath the people built ships. Thousands of them. The whole civilization
fled south over the sea in a desperate escape from the maddening voices.

After months at sea they encountered an unnatural storm. In one fateful night its
tremendous rage eradicated the fleet, wiping out the whole civilization.

Only one ship survived.

Story:

That one ship gets shipwrecked along a strange coastline. People onboard get to shore
and the struggle for survival begins. The player helps with all that is needed for rebuilding
a society. As they start to scout the unknown land it comes clear it is a dangerous place
they have come to.

Are they really safe here?

And will the owners of the evil voices be confined behind those mountains across the sea
forever?

Characters:
Spoiler: ShowHide

Currently there are three classes available to the player, all with unique skills and weapon-
and armor preferences.

There will also be semi-playable characters and other characters who will be helping the
story along.

I will update when my characters-section is more "fleshy".

Gameplay:

The game will be centered around Blizz-ABS. It will make use of a Quest Log, Time-
system and more.

I like side quests and free-roaming and the possibility to a free choice, but I also enjoy
a well developed storyline. I will try and make a middle way of sort.

I also want the world to feel as dynamic as possible. The time-system will help much,
but I also want the player to be able to make on impact on the environment. As long
as the story progresses I want the player to feel the world changing with it.

I will also implement resettable Dungeon Instances with harder enemies, puzzles, quests,
bosses and farmable loot (yes, I have played much WoW).

English is not my first language, so feel free to point out awkward spelling and
grammatical errors.

Credit will be given for all resources and scripts when project is due. No worries.

Magus

I almost saw a racist joke opportunity in this picture. Examine at the title of the Re.  Anyway, this game sounds interesting.
