I wouldn't count on that though, probably samsung will win, but still produce their processors. You forgot that all most companies care about is money, and they get money from apple buying all those processors. That's how it works sadly.

It's logical that Apple want their expensive shizzle to stay special, or else it should get less expensive. (maybe you should consider 'bout that, Apple)
But it's just dumb from them to do hold it special like this, if you sue every company that is making something that looks like something of you, you'll be hated by every company. And being hated by every company can be a little clumsy when they need help.

I never did love Apple, and this are fails why I keep myself away from their expensive stuff. (and the prices are unattractive too)

Yeah, I use the Samsung Galaxy S now. And for so far Android is working very good for me!
The only disadvantage is that Apple has more apps. But that isn't that horrible because much apps of Apple are crap.

I have an HTC EVO 4G, rocking MIUI 1.4.22. Best custom ROM I have ever flashed, and it makes the experience much much better.
Although, I have to disagree that Apple has more crap apps. Although I am a die-hard Android fan, I can realize that Apple has a much wider selection of quality apps.
The problem with Google's marketplace is that they let absolutely anything in. I've even run across things that would get them sued hard by other companies(GBA ROMS being sold in a standalone emulator apps, paid apps that let you download ROMS for various systems, PS1 bios files being sold in an easy installer, ect.).

Kind of disappointing in that aspect, though. But as far as customization apps go, Android wins hands down. There are things you can do to customize on a non-rooted Android device that people on jailbroken iPhones can only dream to do.

Yeah, I know Apple has much good quality apps, but they have much very bad apps too. And I think they compensate with eachother.
Because if you look at everything together, Android & Apple have about the same percent of use-less apps.

Apple can be good, but they have to realize that now everyone is going to make touch-screens and smartphones, and that they are not alone in that market. So they can sue everyone, or they can just accept that everyone is going to make Smartphones, and Apple is busy now with that first thing. (Which is a very bad choice, if you ask me)

IMO Apple used to make quality products. IDK about their Macbooks and Macs now, but both the iPhone and iPhone 3G had a very high quality manufacture. Even the 3GS is still in that category. The first iPhone is definitely the best in that category. A friend at work is crazy about Apple, he confirmed that. I find it sad that the iPhone 4 has such a low quality manufacture. I mean you all probably remember the problems with the signal when you cover the part where the antenna is. I think the iPhone 5 will be a heavy fail and Apple will start losing drastically to Android. For now is catching up slowly, but if Apple doesn't do anything, they will be overrun.

But at no point the high prices were justified. With Apple products you get 20%-30% higher quality for 200%-300% the price. IMO not acceptable.
