Here is a list of audio resources that have been created for the ARC Run-Time Package so far.
Feel free to post any you might have in this topic, and a mod can move them to the main collection.
Please use this template for submissions:

TYPE:  <BGS, BGM, SE, ME, ETC>
FILENAME:  <NOT CRITICAL, BUT A CLUE AS TO WHAT THE AUDIO IS>
AUTHOR:  <THE NAME YOU WOULD LIKE IN THE CREDITS FOR THIS RESOURCE>
LINK:  Link

Please ensure that all entries are either .FLAC or .WAV format.  This are lossless formats that will allow for conversion into whatever format we decide with, without losing any quality.

Does everything have to be in WAV or FLAC?
I have about 100 BGMs and MEs that I'm willing to give you, but they're all MIDI. And that's terrible. I mean, it wouldn't be difficult to change it all, but it would be very tedious.
Also, I can just plop it in a Dropbox folder and send you the link, right? Because I'm not going to want to upload all of that individually, it would take days.
Also again, not all of it is classical. Quite a bit is classical style with modern instruments, and about 5-10% is modern. Is that okay?

At this point and with the RTP so incomplete, we'll take a look listen to what you got.

PM your email account you signed up to Dropbox with, and I'll add you to the fileshare for the RTP. Thanks for the contribution  ;)

No problem. I PM'd Zer0 with the address (and I sorted the files).
There are 87 BGMs and 9 MEs in what I've given you, just throw out what you don't need.

Ok, I put everything in the dropbox. Should all be there.

Hey I just found out about ARC and I would love to compose some tracks for the rtp if you still need it.  You can find an example of my work at

www.soundcloud.com/ancient-stereo

That's just to get the jist of my composing ability; there are only two tracks up on there, and they're not exactly rpg-ready (although Silvanus could be rearranged to fit into an rpg), but I have other stuff written that I think you guys would really like

ForeverZer0

We can use all the help we can get for the RTP.

also great tracks, I think thats second track of yours could be adapted to a great RPG song.

Alright Zero, I'm pretty sure i pm'd you my email though i'm not completely sure as my outbox has taken no account of it.  Thanks a lot for letting me help out guys!  Me and my friend are in the preproduction stages(writing the script and working out the plot) of an RPG we're making and I found out about ARC while researching the best way to go about the game development stage.  Never before has the power to make an rpg exactly the way you want it been given to the common folk.  No longer must the coding n00b be RPG Maker's bitch!  Needless to say, you guys are my saviors,  it's an honor to help you guys out, and can't wait till this thing comes out!

Now for the music.  What exactly are you guys looking for. I have a couple battle and world map themes that I think would work really well for this, but I also want to compose from scratch so whatever you guys need I'll do my best to deliver  8)

ForeverZer0

We still are in need of pretty much anything you can do.  BGM is the farthest along, while BGS and SE are practically nothing.  Ig you have anything in them areas, it would help a lot, but really anything is fine.

Thanks!

The file is currently MP3 becous i'm thinking of editing it more. Maybe a hi-hat that keeps the rythm in the background?
I'm altso unsure whether to make the song longer, becous the longer the song the more filesize.

What do you think?
Will uppload as WAV when i'm completely done with it. I will need your opinions.

Altso, i have no idea what to name it...

I agree it dose sound good just a bit raw, understandable because you said it wasn't finished.

I'd like to make a request, I was listening to this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OvH4PA4LVdQ
and I though to my self that this music has a feel that I would REALLY like to listen to if I was exploring a foreign desert like area in a game
so if you guys could make one or two songs with an atmosphere like the one one in the video (the funky beat and the twanging banjo combined with a deep acoustic guitar) I think It would be awesome!

Listen to 'Scene2'. That is the draft of my major composition this year. I'm going to develop it, it's going to be performed by absolutely fantastic musicians at my school, and professionally recorded. The complete version is much better, but I don't want that in there. I'll definitely give you guys the recording once it's done, but it probably won't be until March or something D:
I'll chuck a MIDI file of what Sibelius thinks it'll sound like, but the live recording will be infinitely better. I'm really liking the material I made for all of this.

Hey, when you say SE == ME (lolruby)
Does that mean every time you play an SE the BGM will pause, or MEs will play over the music? :\

Oh, and I just added a BGS to the RTP. A simple low strings loop, not much, but its useful :)

No, of course not, that would be horrible. xD
ME's are nothing more than long SE's anyways, so we are treating them as such.

zenvirzan

But then how would the engine know when to pause the music or not?
I always thought the ME SE idea was great, aha

Blizzard

I never really like that effect.
We can always make an optional parameter that allows any SE to play over the BGM and BGS.

Wait... are you saying the normal sound effects will play OVER the music? Then how will we add sound effects during cutscenes without making the scene interupt the awesome background music? :O.o:

Or is it the other way around?

By the way, i think SE and ME was a great effects. Like when you sleep at an INN and that sleeping music comes into effects then resumes the BGM afterwards, or when you find something awesome in a chest and another small fanfare plays. It would be kinda wierd if you had those sounds playing while the BGM is still playing, and i don't want to turn off the BGM just to play an SE without music, then re-open it from the beginning. :P
Another solution chould be to manualy turn down the volume over some frames but it chould become a chore if you do it too much.

Don't downgrade ARC, Just putting a few words in there :)
(Unless of course, you had the option to make it an SE or ME while in the Event Window that let you play Sound Effects. Giving you a choice whether you want the BGM to stop or not)

Blizzard

In RGSS mode obviously it will work just as in RMXP. But generally, I never really saw the need for that kind of interruption. It's just a weird concept. I've never seen anybody use it in any kind of engine except RMXP.

zenvirzan

Well, the authors of the midis that you have in the RTP have already have reverb added to make them sound good on default players.
RMXP adds moar reverb, and its just messy xD
I wanted to use one, and I had to go to school and borrow their Sibelius and remove the reverb manually.
But not all midis have reverb added - in fact, very few do. So its not a reason to just abandon the reverb - Its been making midis sound good in RM for years :)

So yeah, it's a song that's suposed to be playing after a player accomplishes a challenge and some sort of point screen shows up or it could just be used as a sort of fanfare for sertain scenes. Either way, it is a calm and small song that loops quiet well.

hm... quiet interesting song, though it's a bit repetetive. Same chords through the same song.
I've tried but I can only think of one situation for this song. That situation could be for example, being chased in a huge underground factory or base and have a timer set that tells you that you need to find the exit before it runs out. It is not quiet fit for a battle in my opinion. Perhaps you should try adding more realistic VST's to it? Since it's not a MIDI, it could sound a bit better.

Tazero

I would've used my guitar and played it myself but I must get another 1/4" jack so I can use it. :(

Was that FL Studio you used? The guitar sounded identical to FL Slayer.
And that plugin has always been hard as hell to use, and I know that. So I guess my judgement would be a little biased if that was the case.
It sounded okay, but if it is in a format other than MIDI, it should probably sound a little more smoothed and refined, rather than the computer spitting out pretty sounding notes. A live recording would make it much, much easier to listen to :)

Vlash

I noticed a lot of midis in the Dropbox, but I was under the assumption that only .wavs were allowed. Are either allowed at this point or are the midis placeholders or something?

I think ForeverZer0 mentioned that, because the RTP is so incomplete, we're willing to accept pretty much whatever people have. :)

I don't mind MIDIs as game music too much, personally; the RMXP RTP uses only MIDIs, and doesn't sound too bad.

It's because ARC won't most probably support MIDIs.

Here you go guys, as promised I'm helping with the RTP audio. Anyway, more to come. How's the SE section going btw? I have a LOT of sounds at my disposal.
