Its nearing the end of the school year for me. Due to this, for the past month I've been rushing and working really hard on all of my work. I've also been studying for my final exams. This has been distracting me from any kind of work that is not school related. Hopefully, after next week is over, I'll be able to get back into full gear and get to working. And while I am still always on the computer, anytime that is spent on the computer, is spent working on my semester project for Web Design class. I don't mind designing and building the site but most of the time has been spent into writing content for it. And its due tomorrow morning. When thats done I still have a whole week and a half before I'm free to do whatever my little (soon to be) 16 year old body desires.

Just wanted to let you guys know whats going on as a few of you are most likely disappointed in my lack of work towards ARC. I'll still be lurking the forums but I won't be posting a whole lot and doing a whole lot at all.

Well, when that day comes I shall welcome you to the just sixteen club with open arms. But son of a bitch, you're fifteen and you've got a web design class?

Yup. I'm the only one who designed my site from scratch, Branden helping me with the graphics. Everyone else used templates, which isn't bad but at least it shows I stand out from the rest. I am also the only one in the class who really understands HTML and Javascript. On top of that I created a custom Login/Registration system and my own blog system using PHP. This all amazes my teacher.

Next year I'm taking a class with this same teacher and its "Software Development". Only problem with this is that we don't actually learn to code or anything, its all visual programming using Alice, which isn't bad for beginners but I hate the program. Which is why the teachers going to let me install the Java JDK and IDE. She wants me to learn Java and HTML 5 so thats what I'll be doing next year unlike everyone else. And it makes me feel proud having someone in real life see my true talent.

Anyways yea...

@G_G and Niche... Don't feel bad, I have 11 years of practical, real world computer repair experience, and 3 years of programming, plus, 5 years HTML / JavaScript experience, but, no little piece of paper that says I spent thousands of dollars, so, noone even looks my way...

I wish you the best of luck with your endeavors though. I honestly wish I were back at 16 lolz... I might bother you at some point to look over my site(s) and optimize them to new standards (I'm old school technology, lolz).

Lol I totally know what you mean, I took a web design class like three years ago when I didn't know hoe to program all that well so PHP was out of my league easiest class I've ever taken. the rest of the class was using dream weaver. I scraped that and went strait to notepad to write HTML and CSS. I went so far above and beyond on all of the assignments that the teacher didn't even bother grading them he just looked and gave me an A. turns out I knew twice as much about how to design a website as the teacher did. which was saying something because the sites were crap by todays standards.

the next year I took a 3D graphics course. I complected all the assignments three weeks early and spent the rest of the time doing more complex modeling and trying to create a water fall with particle effects. thankful I wasn't alone a fried of min was equally talented and finished around the same time I did.
