When were you diagnosed with Asperger's? I was diagnosed when I was 15 years old...I'm now approaching my 21st birthday (April 11th), and I must say, you remind me a lot of myself before I got help understanding how to control my diagnosis, rather than letting it control me.
Also, if you're trying to get pity from people with your whole "sucks to be me" intro, cut the shit...it makes other Aspergians like myself look bad.
I had the same outlook on life and everything in it until I read
this book, which was just 6 months ago, when I was going through a really rough time in my life. Now, I'm not saying that I changed because of the book, but I'm saying that it helped me better understand what I had been living with, and why I felt like such an outcast. That, as well as speaking to the right people, learning more about emotions, what's socially acceptable and what's not, and trying to focus on the positive instead of the negative, has helped me understand that Asperger's Syndrome is not an illness...if anything, it's a gift. Some of the most successful people in this world have Asperger's Syndrome or some similar condition and are able to function quite well in daily life.
Did you know that one of the most well known men in the computer business has an Autistic Spectrum Disorder?
This man is none other than the chairman of Microsoft, Bill Gates!
Not convincing enough? How about this guy? Came up with the three laws of motion, and is the basis for modern engineering...yes, that's right, Sir Isaac Newton had an Autistic Spectrum Disorder too.
Still not convinced?
E=MC
2=Albert Einstein had an Autistic Spectrum Disorder
Charles Darwin
Jim Henson
Thomas Jefferson
George Orwell
Dan Aykroyd
Thomas Edison
Gary Numan
Michael Jackson
Mark Twain
Henry Ford
The list goes on and on...did these people let their disabilities get in the way of their abilities? I think their achievements answer that question.
So, whenever you tell people that you have Asperger's Syndrome, make sure to say it proudly...There's nothing to be ashamed of, so why say that it sucks to be you just because you have Asperger's Syndrome?
Anyways...Welcome to Chaos Project, and if you ever need a fellow Aspergian to talk to, add me to MSN (

Keep moving forward,
