So I've been collecting a list of simple tools that really make windows better.
- 1) Clink, website best explains it. http://mridgers.github.io/clink/
- 2) ConEmu, Console VM supports tabs and a whole suit of useful features. https://code.google.com/p/conemu-maximus5/
- 3) Dexpot. Virtual Desktops. http://www.dexpot.de/index.php?id=home
- 4) Link Shell Extension. create symbolic links with ease through the shell. http://schinagl.priv.at/nt/hardlinkshellext/hardlinkshellext.html
- 5) The series of TortoiseSCM tools like TortoiseSVN TortoiseGit ect.
TortoiseSVN/TortoiseGit is great, but it's only suited for people who work with computers, not so much for the average user who probably uses PCs mostly for entertainment and maybe some organizational tasks.
I've corrected the title to be a bit more accurate. these are tools for developers and power users, people who need the command prompt every other day or can make use of more than one desktop.
