Title: [Construct 2] fLuX - School Project
Post by: KK20 on April 05, 2015, 04:23:25 am
WIP first post.

fLuX is a maze navigation game where the player guides a curious polygon through various landscapes. Along the way, the player must avoid various obstacles, cross over manipulating platforms, and even shift colors to get through in one piece. This was created entirely in the free version of the engine Construct 2 (https://www.scirra.com/construct2) for a Game Design class in college.

The game offers 30 levels (and maybe one extra challenge in the end if I have the time), infinite lives, slippery controls, and countless swearing (by you of course).

Lol, it's totally zen to watch you play in the video.

xD

I've tried making a full-fledged game in PowerPoint 2007 under the same idea: you're currently at a moment of peace but have no idea how you got there so innate curiosity makes you delve deeper into your memories to recover the past (only to find out that you were actually a very twisted and corrupt individual). The first few levels are supposed to be calm and relaxing (which works since this is your introductory/tutorial to the game) and slowly picks up tempo as you move on (challenges become harder as the music goes from ambient to harder electronic stuff).

Glad I'm able to express the mood I was aiming for. :]

Oh, and yeah, you can totally make mouse maze games in PowerPoint (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PH4rTRl0IsQ).
