... or am I missing something?  Just type in "Custom Input Script" into the SEARCH that CP conveniently has and you can find that.

This is largely out of curiosity.  I'll leave it at that.  Speculation as to my true intentions can be discussed, I'm actually curious if anyone else has wondered this.  Regardless, your participation is appreciated.

K, I know Blizz, you're retired, but maybe someone else can help me.  I'm trying to change a skill's projectile based off of a variable.

Ways that this may be possible... just rename the file completely?  I dunno if this can or can't be done with scripting, if it can be though, let me know.

Other way... altering BABS... but theres 20k lines of code that I don't look forward to rummaging through... and don't imagine anyone else would.

Anyway, if you can help me, that'd be great!  ^_^

Add this just above Main, and below all your other scripts to disable it initially.
class Game_System
  alias initialize_early initialize
  def initialize
    initialize_early
    @hud = false
  end
end


then to enable it/disable it in game do this in a call script.
To Disable: ShowHide

$game_system.hud = FALSE
$game_system.hud_button = FALSE


To Enable: ShowHide

$game_system.hud = TRUE
$game_system.hud_button = TRUE



I also disable other buttons too, like skill, defend, attack, hotkeys, but thats because when I disable the hud I'm "out of battle" so I don't want him being able to attack or bring up the hud again.

Anyway, that works for me, let me know how it works for you.

Rose, if you're reading this, I previewed, as to make sure that all the spoilers and code worked properly BEFORE I posted.  :P

Hmm... in regards to part 2:

Kingdom Hearts: 365/2 Days (or whatever its called) was VERY well put together, and definitely made for fun, entertaining gameplay and storyline.  All it pretty much did was fill in gaps though, there were even large breaks in the timeline, but it still offered a lot as a game by itself.  I haven't played the other kingdom hearts games all the way through but I was still largely entertained by the game.

Having said this, I believe you could successfully make a stand alone 2nd part to your storyline as long as you went about the storyline in an effective manner as to keep it both interesting and action packed.

if you use call scripts to do that won't it allow you to have whatever character the player is using instead?

Yeah 2% is even kinda generous.  I know i haven't finished a single project (other than a demo for a maze game) in my 6 years of rmxp.

i say go for the short games as well, start with 1 see how you like it and if you're still interested like Landy said, and go from there.
